Hey Henry! The super recycler's have aluminum decks! We have 2 of them one push like you have just with an auto-choke and a personal pace. My fiance says they leave the best cut for a non commercial mower. These also have grease fittings for the wheels, I'm sure it will make it a little easier too push. Nice score's! Hey, you drove right past the street I grew up on back in the 1960’s! Soundveiw was walking distance from our house on Maple Place, my brother and I had friends in that very neighborhood! I’ve had a couple of those manual push model 20053 SR4 mowers before, the first time I saw one I thought maybe someone had removed the transmission because it broke. When I looked up the model number I found it was indeed a push version. They take a little longer to sell but they always do eventually, just have to price them accordingly. It’s an older model from 2006, that’s why the primer bulb, old style bag and no blue quick-flip handle release levers. The gizmo attached to the blade is an accelerator, it acts as a fan to push the fine clippings down into the soil. The plastic bumpers under the deck are called kickers, they push the clippings back into the blade to chop them up finer. Love these mowers, they are excellent mulchers. I’d take one over a Quadra-Cut any day (in fact I have). Great find!

That Toro is an interesting find! They might have had a small yard with lots of turns and back and forths and didn't want to deal with the extra weight of the self propelled, or just wanted to save some money. You have had some good finds lately!

Those Poulan Pro Snowblowers are beasts. I got one free a few years back, it has like a 250cc 4 cycle engine and it lobs snow really well. So well I kept that machine and I could have sold it for $350 at the time. They stopped making them that powerful now there black and only have a 179cc engine. Super Recycler is nice, also can’t believe it’s only a push. Decks are aluminum. They don’t really rot, they just break or turn to powder after a very long time. Those mowers also have the kickers under the deck which helps the grass get mulched up better. They cut superior, too bad it’s not self propelled… Still worth 300. Self Propelled I still see those going for about $450 now. They were like $800 retail.

I've had a couple of that type recycler and I think the decks are magnesium. They never have a good shine , but it's still red and it's a Toro. I don't deal on them as they are a Toro. Every one I've had was RWD. Henry sooner or latter it will snow in Long Island. We had lots of snow here last year and I was sick of it. 😢 ⛄️❄️

It’s a model 20053 manual push version, I’ve had a couple of ‘em. They’re from 2006, I don’t think they made them for long.

One engagement handle, push. Two engagement handles, self propelled. Not trying tp be a damn no-it-all, just what I look for when assessing whether or not I want to pick one.

Yeah I’m pretty clear on that given I’ve converted self propelled to push to sell. This could have been propelled but someone took the trannys out due to a bad gearbox, people do it all the time. And there’s nothing wrong with being a KNOW it all!
