Nice! Old guy here, and IMO, the best thing you just taught beginners is to keep playing in time, foregoing a note here or there if necessary. I told my wife's grandkid just that when he was playing, saying the most obvious thing that tips listeners off to beginners is the pause as they change chords. ...he's getting there.

I always like your videos. I guess you will be the one to introduce me into this picking. Im learning finger picking but im yet confused about the way to look at it in the wsy I know strumming in songs. I mean the counting comparisms.
