Picking up ANOTHER Engine...

It's a weird plan, but I'm hoping it'll save time and enable me to drift as much as possible. We may not end up needing it, but it's hard to say until we are able to inspect the bottom end! Shirts and merch - LZBMX.com
I feel like it seems really confusing in the video so I'll type out the explanation again. We're waiting on quite a bit of parts for the 2JZ, and from experience I know "one week" can easily turn into a month when it comes to cars. It seems like the 2JZ is at least a month and a half to two months out until we're able to drop it in so I thought it would be smart to rebuild the SR20 to drive in the mean time rather than doing more damage by continually beating on it. The plan has been to put it in another shell once the 2JZ is in, so it was going to happen eventually - just now sooner than later. Originally we we're going to build the bottom end of the slush motor while I kept my SR running, but Alberto is convinced we can knock everything out in a weekend so we MIGHT end up just building mine. Only time will tell!

He just did a drift event and drove the car there and back 4 hours. Any metal shavings have already circulated through the engine, or been filtered, or stuck on the oil pickup tube. The low compression, if the numbers haven't gotten any lower over the past several drift events, which it doesn't sound like it has, its nothing to worry about. Also Pouring oil in the cylinder is going to raise any compression test #'s lol, (unless if its zero psi with a melted/ bent/broken valve, which is not the case). Point being, it seems to still run perfectly fine. No knocking, smoking, or misfires .

This is intro is GREAT! ...As a starting point, i feel like you could do this one of two ways(which you may have already done not sure) but if you incorporated some bmx clips into it then it could be a single one for the whole channel or you could have this one for the car videos, and have a more bmx focused one for riding videos. Here's the difference between me and you though, i actually Have a license, I actually Have Owned multiple 240s, They. Are. Trash. It kinda pisses me off all these "amazing" jdm cars I was hyped up about by my fellow 12-16 yearold friends are allllll trash. Including my current mk3, it made it to my house, dropped the pan, and hasn't ran again with 94k miles, and about 2 grand dumped into it. :) jdm cars rule though

I've had em all drift taxed nightmares someone else's half assed build and the broke kids who couldn't afford basic maintenance... the best one I had was a 2 owner all original That I redid from the ground up and it was a great car after I spent most people's salary on it... only to end up parting it out at a loss lol. car scene is so full of cancer these days it's bad.. best bet is to find a non molested one and hope for the best. I've sadly moved on tho the 240 is kinda over rated... I enjoy my audi s4 and Integra type r a lot more currently. drift tax brooo
