Marty prefers the older cars feel. New cars with electronic power steering dont have the same feel of being connected to the road. There's a disconnected feeling compared to older nuggets feeling like you have your hands and feet directly on the pavement.

Think you can blame COVID. Before it hit Al was talking about helping out mcm on some builds, but they all live in different states, whose leaders don’t play well together. Al would have been involved in a non genuine engine upgrade, so I think we will have to wait till the windows of opportunity align again before we see the Gemini build. Thanks China

Once you go full bolts ons and a tune, the next step for an RS3 is like 700HP big turbo, 4 drag radial madness. There’s hardly any in between. The car is already SO good at the stage where Moog has it that any more mods would just be taking away from the balance it has now. I guess he could take it to the track but it’s such a consistent car that all the 1/4 and lap times would be within 3% of each other each time. At least with the Subie we get to watch each new video in anticipation of the EJ letting go any second.

And am looking to sell both for this exact sti spec, audi is so boring and quiet and great for putting around town but nothing like a turbo manual boxer!! If you care about driving a car and enjoying all the sounds and direct feeling of the car then this swap makes sense. Thr audi dulls down all feeling, it's too electronic and the steering and throttle is so computerised. Not raw like the sti

I'm not going to lie. I was entirely expecting the entire episode that the Subaru was a red herring. Frankly, I'm surprised it wasn't. Now I get it. There is something special about the Subaru STI. The package isn't really something you can get elsewhere, and it's not about numbers. The experience is unique in this modern world. Even journalists who test and compare every new, faster car against it keeps saying the same thing. It's just analog, visceral, and engaging. There's an involvement to it. To have that in the modern world IS special.

Super excited for you, Moog! Bought a 2011 STI a couple of months ago and I love it! Did you guys know that the 2019 STI's got the Type RA engine from 2018? At least in America they did. It included reinforced pistons, high flow intake, refreshed ECU, and sodium filled exhaust valves. They dyno much higher than the 2018 and older STI's.

@@JP_A3 they put a picture on YT of them in the garage for something else and the front of the car was a little visible (I think at the time they were doing the Lotus or shortly before that). That caused the initial speculation, then in one of the videos back when Marty originally got the kei truck you can see it in the background parked in the garage at Marty’s house for a brief moment (a blue SA or FB). After that Marty in another occasion made some indirect comment about people spotting something. It has been a while since that now and some people like myself are anxiously waiting for that project 😂.

@@dead_pool7518 covid lock down started end of June 2021 for selected council areas. State lock down was only 2weeks ago. And the GR Yaris was available in Australia since November 2020. "they already have nuggets that are fast" well they already done a ton of content on Subaru's and EJ motors. Fast nuggests is basically the og foundation of mcm. It's an enormously missed opportunity to be relevant in the new age. All they talk about is wanting cool cars like modern day GTiR like in this video. And the GR Yaris ticks all their boxes of what they love so when looking through that set of glasses it's very hard to see the STi purchase being a good one but rather just a poor choice in my opinion. What new info, content and Research and Development can they possibly do that's they haven't done or other pages have done on the Subaru platform? Can you see now why people are questioning why they didn't go for a GR Yaris on this video? I'm not the only one here.

Ah man I'm all about letting motorbikes to the front of a traffic queue. They're putting up with the danger, the noise, the rain sometimes and they're usually gonna take off a hell of a lot faster than the Nissan Qashqai next to them, go for it! I make sure I move to the side a little if I see one coming, head on through. Mopeds, on the other hand, can stay at the back. Some of the long distance truck drivers (at least here in NZ) are up there as well, always willing to let cars and bikes past, will often give a little flash on the indicator to let you know it's clear to pass etc. Driving is more fun and safer for everyone if we all look out for each other and help out - nothing confuses me more than people driving awesome, fast cars and acting like knobs. Make sure everyone has a good time on the road and we're all gonna be happy!

Static head is the pressure created by a fluid via elevation change with no flow. Dynamic head is that same measurement but accounting for losses in the line while flowing, due to friction, turbulence and pipe size.
