Thank you for getting Scottish straight kittens instead of Scottish folds! Scottish folds have so many health issues and live in pain, so it’s nice to see people appreciating the breed to the extent of also respecting their health. Health over cuteness, always.

I definitely agree with you! This is why I ended up getting a Scottish Straight because they have less health issues and I hope more people become aware and breeders stop breeding one day because you’re just causing more pain for the animal. I think Scottish Straights are just as adorable as Scottish Folds 💞

I was looking for a kitty for the past five years but here on Vancouver Island, cats are not easy to get. I was looking to the SPCA rescue shelters but after trying and trying and getting no response or help from them, I found out they have a secret policy that hardly anyone knows about... It turns out I am "too old" to be accepted to adopt a rescue cat... So, in desperation to find the right kitty for me I looked online and found a Scottish Straight kitty that appealed to me... I had no knowledge of this breed at all and I was not looking for a specific breed of cat... Well... in the end, "Charlie" has come home with me only two days ago and I am so in love with him though he is very different from other cats I have had over my lifetime... He is 8 months old and only given up as the previous owner had family allergy problems to cats... So... she paid a fortune for him and I got him for a steal... but money was not the most important factor for me... I want a kitty that would be affectionate and have a beautiful look as well... and he is gorgeous and loves me...

Just because they are brothers and are used to each other as kittens does not mean they will like each other as adult cats. Sometimes they do. Often, they don't. How did yours turn out?
