@@gateCodeKC I agree!! The jazz lines Cecil played were cool, but I like a more melodic groove/ improv for this particular tune. Like Kaspar Jalily pulled off. He played very melodic lines, with some diminished runs in between, but not overly done. Very smooth. Cecil Alexander is a great jazz guitarist. He also through in some diminished and chromatic lines during the turnaround, but wasn't as melodic as Kaspar, in my opinion. Kaspar smoked, on this one no doubt!!👍🎩👍

Yeah I wanna learn how to play like that. This fusion /neo soul guitar thing seems having another box, pentatonic and then arpeggio box. Especially without key changing like this, jamming could be extremely boring. Yeah they can add fancy techniques with whammy bar and tapping, but what they playing basically is just same thing over and over. I kinda bored before I master it. But Cecil breaking those boxes right away yet sounds so cool. How to do that?

@@Danumurti18 study bebop my friend. It radically changed my approach to my solos and improv for the better. I’d suggest blue train album by John Coltrane and pull up the LIST approach to transcribing jazz solos. It can be extremely tedious, but it is very much worth the effort
