This reminds me so much of my own engagement 😍 My husband wanted to propose to me in our holidays in Austria on top of a mountain. The day he has planned the proposal it was raining and it was super cold on our hike for which reason we did not finish the hike. On our way back to the hotel we picked up some raspberries to eat them in the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, I was so freezing that I had to take a hot shower and then fell asleep in the bathrobe. When I woke up, my husband was on his knees next to the bed and showed the little bowl with our picked raspberries and on top of the raspberries lay the ring 💚🥰 Then he proposed to me and I had NOT expected it AT ALL. Thanks for bringing back these beautiful memories to me! All the best for you two!! 💚💚

That's so wonderful! My husband and I were together for six years before he proposed, and it was so weird and awkward for him. We were sitting on the back of our truck watching a thunderstorm come in, and he asked "so... If I asked you to marry me, what would you say?" And then he just stared at me. I wish you both well. As a Vancouverite I have a lot of respect for doing the Garibaldi hike in bad weather and on a short day. You didn't show it, but it has so many switchbacks on the trail that you get sick of them. But the view at top is worth it so I understand Robin's choice here. This was so sweet I actually cried. Reminds me of a hike my partner and I did to my mountain when the conditions turned so I can relate to that feeling when you're wet and going through slushy snow in the dark.
