Graeme you're the best, totally entertaining keeping the passion alive. I haven't beach fished the east coast for over twenty years but watching your films have rekindled my interest in sea fishing. Due to your enthusiasm I decided to dust down my rods buy some new stuff and fish my first session this week. A few whiting and a solitary dab from Aldeburgh made my trip wothwhile, so I'll definitely will be going again soon. Totally Awesome!

Graeme and Mike I really look up to you guys. I think your shows are brilliant and I watch every one as soon as it’s out. All your tips and tricks are spot on. I have used your tips myself and they seem to deliver every time. If I ever become half the angler that you guys are I will be a very happy man. Keep it up and I will keep telling people about the Totally Awesome fishing that you do!

I realise we will never please everybody,but Mike and I have such a laugh in the edit room at silly things that for me its worthwhile doing all these films for everyone for free and keep paying for it all myself.12,000 plus subscribers ? Over 2 MILLION views ?Obviously that's a huge number that do like them.We get loads of private emails from people loving the occasional stupid intro,so I guess if they like it ,I'll keep having a laugh as well.Luckily I can catch the occasional fish or two.

Thanks for the invite,you never know,I might turn up on your doorstep !! We could use some of that Florida sunshine over here,that's for sure.

That's bang on.Glad you can see what we get in the limited time.We can fish,make a film,rush home,edit it and get it up on KZbin inside 48 hours.I don't think anyone else does that,I have even made lots of films all on my own,using three cameras.I have a "How to catch trout on the Mayfly" coming out in about a week or so.Filmed the whole thing in just over 3 hours,including catching trout.7 minutes footage in a day ? Well,there's fishing,and there's CATCHING !...Leave it to you to decide.

With the laying your rod down on the ground, instead of laying it so the reel is touching the ground, flip it over to the other side so the reel is resting on the handle. Great show Graeme, thoroughly enjoy watching it from here in Australia. Dylan

Yes, November and December are considered the best months for bigger Conger as they feed harder to fatten up for the cold weather.

when I was a kid growing up on Long Island NY going out on fishing "party" boats [it wasn't a wedding boat lolol .... it was group fishing rather than private charter] the captain would throw crushed muscles and other Shellies off the boat as chum.... man did that get the fish to the boat.... so when I went dock fishing I took that lesson and always scavenged the dock poles for shellfish and crush and kick ....I was on fish all day long! from big eels to flounder and more .. 🤙🤙🤙💙😊 man I love fishing 😉

I rarely use mackerel except for long casting deadbaits. Then I cut them in half and use the tail section. Try using smaller baits like sprats,smelt,sardine or small herrings. A big pike will still take a small bait.

Fantastic! The advantage this show has over anything I've seen on TV is that it actually gives granular detail on tactics eg rigs, baits etc. Most TV progs. are boring IMO as they just show the presenter pumping fish and often don't even say what bait is used.

When i was a kid we used to go around the local mechanics shops and get the old spark plugs to use as weights when fishing for conger, pollack, wrasse etc from rocky ground
@TAFishing11 жыл бұрын
Crush the barbs with pliers,makes it easier to get the hooks out. We also have a T-bar which you can get hooks out with. You can also buy shop disgorgers specifically for sea fishing. Or long nosed pliers.If you get a deep hooked fish most anglers will always cut the line. You'll do more damage trying to get the hook out, which rusts away in salt water anyway.
@TAFishing11 жыл бұрын
You can do. Whole mackerel,drifted under a float about 3 feet off the bottom(for lake fishing),or better with a half mackerel, use the tail section, legered on the bottom.

Savage fishing I am from Kerry in Ireland and am surrounded by piers but yet always head for the shore even when it looks poor. I have caught a few strap conger when only fishing strips of mackerel but after this I am going to start to target these boyos . By the way fair play for returning the fish. We caught 22 painted ray over a few nights in November and returned them all and when people heard they were going nuts due to the price of ray wings which were most lightly 7 or more days old. I love to eat fish but I actually love it more to see them swim away. I just subscribed. If you are ever in Ireland looking for Bass, wrasse, pollock, mullet let me know as I would be gald to show you spots once you didnt mention the venue as we are very protective over our marks. Tight lines.
@TAFishing6 жыл бұрын
Don't blame you for protecting the marks...I never give away my shark marks,after I have put all the work in to find them !!..same goes for other species. I only mention a mark if its obvious where I am and everyone else is fishing there anyway.

Best shows ever on youtube! Didn't expect much fun and excitment from and "old" lad, hehe, nice to see "old" people are willing to enter the world of youtube and enter with style and comedy, keep it up. P.S; since i've started to see this channel, i've only gotten better at fishing (i'm a begginer, despite going fishing alot with my dad when i was younger, and im 19 now) but i still got the moves hehe. Didn't know worms were good for fishing, although i saw it on cartoons and movies, didn't actually know it's one of the best bait's... Thanks, anyway, have a good one, BY :D

Ah okay, the only reason I asked was because I noticed it had took the hook down really far and I know sea anglers don't have the best track record for removing the hook.
