PTV was absolutely undeniable. I was into the heavier sub genres of metal and anyone from that time will tell you about the metalheads calling PTV shit music for sceney weenies. I definitely had my own jackass, elitist moments but when it came to PTV, you just couldn’t hate. They were incredible and inclusive of everyone in the scene, especially women which was refreshing since you had shirts saying shit like “Get On Your Knees”. The drums. The guitar work. The lyrics. Fucking undeniable.

I agree man the albums sick. Progression is a good thing . The albums alot slower than the previous but its great. I've grown since misadventures came out and they have too 👌🤙
@redacted4182 Жыл бұрын
I personally don't know why people think this album is "slow". A lot of the tracks on this album is still the same Pierce the Veil I know. They do have songs similar to the ones on Jaws of Life. One Hundred Sleepless Nights, Props and Mayhem, and Sambuka for example. It's a new sound but at the same time it's not. I love the album a lot and even the slower one.

Vic is sooo wholesome! Met him, just once at a VIP meet&greet Kind of stuff when they co-headlined a PTV x SWS World Tour in germany, i was like 15 and didn't know what to say or do, I never met someone from america that I look up too or anything else out of germany and I was so excited and shy, I wish I coul have had more time. Mike was actually the only one who smiled at me and shook my hand, but Vic greeted me so sweet. Since then they have a special place in my heart. But Vic is like sooo wholesome and cool, he seems like just some nice and cool dude in that scene that doesn't seem to be such a "rockstar" or "celebrity" in the scene, wich I have nothing agsinst, but he doesn't seem to wanna be in the front. And it's so nice to see someone not wanna be that big in the picture.

I grew up listening to rock and funky stuff, but never got into the heavier genres until I found PTV. Been my favorite band since collide with the sky and have even started diving into the older bands Vic had like Before Today. Just fun music and I like the new direction they took. Everyone is super talented

I love the new album. I liked Misadventures & Collide, but this one is my favorite. I've never been a huge fan of a lot of screaming though. Which is why I never was a fan of their 1st 2. I just always liked his voice. I also love Alice In Chains. My mom played AIC every day when I was little. Jaws of life to me sounds like PTV version of Jar Of Flies.

Great interview! That topic you touched on near the end was interesting about how this generation's parent's music is "cooler" than our parent's music was; a lot of stuff from the nineties and on still sounds modern today. I've almost been "scared" that the music I love would be looked at as "old and lame" by this generation, but so far, that doesn't seem to be the case. If you wanted to dive further into this topic, I'd be interested in hearing more thoughts and opinions about it!

Finn, can you please make a deep dive video about Pierce the Veil? On YT there's really not a lot about the story of this band. There's a documentary the band did forever ago, but there needs to be a Punk Rock MBA video! I see this video didn't get a lot of likes, which makes me sad b/c maybe there's not enough PTV fans to justify you making a video for it. But it would be lovely!

Newbie fan here ( not a TikTok fan I swear, got introduced via bf, I listened to all their albums, including before today and early times songs) I thought it was good, well decent for them since they came back from hiatus, im my first thought when I listened to the album was two things. 1. Vic’s vocal chords are very different from when it was the early 2000’s, so granted his voice is going to change and it may get weaker as he ages, 2. Vic might have changed some things for the new fans, not spreading hate to people who found them through TikTok, but I’m saying that the new fans are being a bit passive aggressive ( maybe a bit tad more than the veteran fans ) they may also think they should change from their original sounds, I thought Vic may have been lost in what to release, I feel like the trend added more pressure on him
