I love the 600 too, first time I ever saw one was in Uganda (circa 1970), the president was visiting our town and this 600 was parked on the grass. As a child I went around this black, shinny marvel and could see through the window a small TV on the console. It is the best statesman car.

Hello, Don't know if you check your comments but I am very impressed that you enjoy service the Grosser W100 600's. most mechanics I've talk with hate or say their a big pain in the ass. I have encountered around 100 of these beasts 30% SWB, 60% LWB and 10% Landaulets even the 00000001 black on black with ebony wood, had extra 1 off wood pcs. and the whole car body was a bit smaller, last known owner 1995 was Kim Yee Lee owner of Samsung, South Korea Transportation Museum. All the 600 came from around the world ended up Santa Ana, Calif.

Very interesting. I own a W116, but I have always loved the 600.

Every real Mercedes enthusiast knows that the 600 is the best car ever made. Everything that you really in the one car, W100 have that. The best of the German enginering.

I love the 600 from this period but I love my bank account balance a little bit better. Nice to see that this particular car can also double as a handy dandy box storage shelf. ;)

Did the W109 6.3 use the same type of water pump / radiator fan coupling?

Nothing wrong with this 600 except for maybe the (past) owner. 1:56 Have you chastized whoever for putting those home depot Micky Mouse moldings on the side of that car ? What an attrocity !

i really hated those things....never found out who did it...i think someone may have punished them in the past...by killing them
