Have you ever played back vocalisations to them underwater? (Don’t know if that’s possible) be very interesting to see their response. Amazing, intelligent creatures and happy to see them interacting in freedom!

Do you know of any studies on lone orcas? I remember hearing about the orca Luna who got separated from his pod, did they ever try to study his hunting habits? It would be really interesting to see if he used the same hunting techniques as his pod did, since he was separated so long it may show how young they can learn these behaviors?

Some sort of device is needed that would allow the humans to mimic the sounds of an orca so that mutual communication could possibly be established, something like an under water kazoo.
