There is some intent behind it, because his behavior is predictable and the dislike for him in these types of debates is almost universal. I can tell you a lot of Pastors, including ours have made it very clear no matter who is elected we should handle it lovingly and as Christ followers. I am excited about the positive changes I am seeing with the campaigning and the RNC. I voted for Trump the 1st time as a former Democrat. I voted for him the second time because I could afford gas and food and a little extra. I am voting for him this time because I can no longer afford any of that, and I want my grandchildren to have a Country left when they grow up. I love America. I love The American People, I love our Freedom. And it is nice to feel proud for the 1st time in 4 years to say that. I am praying for Trump/Vance to be elected so we can get out country back on track.

Many people who have spent the majority of the last 10 years or more talking politics online to a void of youth on social platforms like twitch, tumblr, Reddit, etc. (most of them millennials and some gen z), I think have really detached themselves from reality. They’re constantly exposed to the worst of humankind day in and day out and I think that has a numbing and disheartening effect for a lot of them. Those platforms are catered to very niche and fringe online communities that attract a lot of lost and miserable people as well as angsty teens as well as angry 20 somethings whom have a lot of hatred for their own western countries. Interestingly enough, it seems to be a common thread amongst younger people on the left side of culture. Most of these people came into adulthood during great social unrest that has only amped up since they entered into it. So, they see society has horrible and reduce everything to some great injustice against human rights in the west. And now that the economy is crumbling and inflation is skyrocketing, less and less people in general care to hear about overblown social issues that these same people have made their own identity about. In many ways, these people online add fuel to the flame and attract angsty teens and lost younger people. It’s sad to see how radically it changes people who enter into it. I think we have a lot of people who are just numb to what is actually going on and rather live in a digital safe space where their ideas and choices are never questioned but celebrated for the most outrageous and devil’s advocate point of views they can take. This is all very sad.
