Honestly, I'm worried for their health. I play Diablo 2 at a relatively high level but my APM is not even a tenth of what these guys are doing; I do hope for them that they have adapted training, diet and lifestyle to sustain such a pace...

Not meant to be a balance whine, really just trying to understand: Supposedly banelings are supposed to counter Ghosts, but the movement speed of ghosts is 3.94 and the off creep baneling movement speed is 3.5. The banelings never catch the ghosts and just die every game I have watched. Can someone explain how they are supposed to counter? Thanks

Well fungal growth used to completely root and for longer and it used to do way more damage. These days, all you need is to get 3 burrowed infestors hidden behind the entire Terran fortress. If they forget ravens exist and all 7 of their orbital commands are out of energy, you can start to push with your army. If there are any thors, marines, vikings, cyclones, or snipes, they'll kill your observers, and once the ghosts cloak, you're dead. Now it takes about 6 banes to kill each ghost, so even with the most basic splits, on or off creep, make sure you you outnumber the ghosts 10 to 1. Now with perfect micro, you can consecutively chain 3 fungal growths and might steal a trade that's only decently Terran favored. However, as you run, snipes come down on your 5 brood lords, 5 infestors, 5 vipers, 5 lurkers, and 5 ultras, and you pause quit out of the game. Ghosts are so OP it's unreal. The way they counter literally every unit so hard AND are virtually unkillable is just wild to me.

The banelings counter the ghosts by stopping them fron sniping. Their snipe "steady targeting" is interrupted by any damage, and takes like 1.5 seconds to channel. So if they stop to cast snipe, they will get hit by banes and their attack gets interrupted. This stops them from EMPing viper/infestor, sniping brood/ultra/hydra and generally getting many attacks off since they're just running away the whole time. Just having banelings definitely doesn't shut the ghosts down nor is the baneling cost efficient at killing them, but it temporarily stops the ghost doing its job, allowing the rest of the zerg army to be more effective in that window. Also if you surround the ghosts then suddenly banes do great damage on anything thats stuck clumped up

I would say Reynor should switch to Protoss but lord knows that wouldn’t help with PvZ. Terran is not right, they truly need to fix it. The only reason there isn’t a community consensus is because Serral is so good he makes it look like TvZ is more balanced than it is - and with the current state of TvP, clearly Terran balance is off.

Reynor is doing everything right - he had not enough infestors and vision by overlord and not enough skills like Serral. Just take a look like Serral won the world Championship vs Maru. THe 3rd game i think.. But if Reynor will train this tactic - he will win Maru for sure)
