Now is the time for pigeon racing to make a comeback. Racing pigeon is the best social distancing sport. Everybody can afford to buy, raise, train and race them.

I had a i pigeon come to my farm in Hawaii a year ago, he never left and he’s engaging with me more and more coming to my call and swooping athletically to show off to me...i call him johnathon. I’m so curious as to how he came to be here, and why chooses to stay here. And should I get him some friends? Please offer insights and suggestions, I love him, it’s an inspiration to see him fly!

In the time of "CORONAVIRUS WORLD WAR - 3" in 2020 when your own life is at the hands of a invisible pandemic it's cinema and documentaries that breaks all barriers and provides solace and entertainment in the confines of home.As a lifelong sports enthusiast and a silver jubilee pathological gambler on horse racing decided to understand the sport of pigeon racing.Picked the right documentary and found this video extremely educating to a novice from Mumbai in India where pigeon racing does exist in a few city's. "ONE LOFT PIGEON RACING" seems to have come to the rescue of saving the popularity of the sport in U.S.A. Surprised to know that China is the country that now monopolizes "Pigeon Racing" purchasing the costliest racing "Armando " for 1.4 million U.S dollars. Thought only race horse cost that amount of money. One of my favourite boxer's Mike.Tyson is a pigeon fancier and If "PIGEON RACING" existed in Mumbai i would definitely have been a active player in this bird sport. Ahoy !

Hi Heinrich, yes, you are correct, Jim was bragging about his father in-law and how he gets on his hands and knees every day to clean 22 sections of the loft. Jim says he buys him poles for his scrapers but his father-in-law throws them away.

Great video. Any advice for a recent college graduate trying to get back into the sport, or any advice on where to get some good birds?
@KastlePigeon6 жыл бұрын
The best thing you could do is find a local club to fly with. Usually those members will help out a new member. If you don't plan to fly in club races, I would recommend contacting some of the one loft races. Often times at the end of the season, they have some birds that the owners don't want back. They won't be winners, but they will have completed the series.

I HAVE BEEN TO THE LOFT IN INDIANA, 3000 PLUS BIRDS. THE VIDEOS SHOW MANY MANY BIRDS. MANY BIRDS JUST FLY AWAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE THE HUGE POPULATION. HOW DO I KNOW? I HAVE NO RESEARCH TO BACK MY THOUGHTS. JUST LOOK AT THE LOSS OF BIRDS. I DID SOME MATH ON THAT INDIANA OLR (ONE LOFT RACE). THE HANDLER IS MAKING $8000 PER WEEK GROSS PROFIT, TIMES 52 WEEKS = $416,000. HOW MANY OF YOU MAKE $2000 ($104,000 ANNUALLY) PER WEEK WHICH IS A GREAT SALARY! NO ONE WON $1,000,000. WHEN YOU HAVE 3000 BIRDS AND YOU LOST 2/3 OR ABOUT OF THEM YOU HAVE OVER 1,000 BIRDS ON THE FINAL 300 MILE RACE. IT IS ALL PUBLIC RECORD ON WIN-COMPANION, LOOK IT UP. ON THE FINAL RACE YOU WILL HAVE MORE THAN WHAT, 50 BIRDS, ON FIRST DROP. THAT 50 BIRDS MUST DIVIDE THE FIRST PLACE PRICE MONEY BY 50 POSITIONS. 1ST PLACE PLUS 49 MORE. IN ALL ONE LOFT RACES IT IS EXTREMELY RARE TO HAVE OE BIRD ON THE FIRST DROP. YOU DO THE RESEARCH, WAS THERE ONE OLR IN USA IN 2019 WHERE THERE WAS ONE BIRD ON THE FIRST DROP WITH NONE FLYING ABOVE? IN ALL ONE LOFT RACES, ONE BIRD FOLLOWS OTHER BIRDS HOME. IN FUTURITY RACES, (MULTIPLE LOFTS) THE PIGEON FLIES TO HIS LOFT WITH NO HELP FROM A LEADER OR 30 OTHER PIGEONS. I HATE TO SEE THIS VIDEO WHERE IT STATES PIGEON RACING IS EXPENSIVE. THAT IS FALSE. THE CHINESE GUYS WHO PAID $ 1.4 MILLION WERE EXTREMELY WEALTHY MEN. TWO WERE BIDDING AT THE END OF THE AUCTION. FINAL BID WAS $1.4 MILLION. PIGEON RACING IS VERY AFFORDABLE FOR ALL OF US. GO TO A FANCIER WHO RACES IN 30 OR MORE LOFTS. BUY YOUNG BIRDS FROM THAT FANCIER FROM HIS BEST COCK AND BEST HEN, MATED TOGETHER. YOU WILL HAVE A FINE PAIR OF YOUNGSTERS FOR YEARS OF BREEDING. GO TO ANOTHER FANCIER OF THE SAME CALIBER. BUY A PAIR FROM HIM. NOW YOU HAVE TWO GREAT PAIRS OF WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE PAID MORE THAT $2000 FOR BOTH PAIRS. NOW YOU HAVE 2 GREAT PAIRS FOR BREEDING MANY YEARS IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU ARE PAYING MORE THAN $1000 PER BIRD, FROM A PAIR OF GREAT BIRDS YOU ARE PAYING TOO MUCH. YOU EVER NOTICE THAT SHORTLY AFTER THE FINAL (OLR) LONG RACE THE RACE BIRD RECORDS DISAPPEAR FROM THE OLR'S WEB SITE. THE HANDLER DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SEE HOW MANY BIRDS WERE LOST.

It's been very surprising to hear what people from different countries say about the origin of this bird and who started the race or all the other aspects involved with them. Almost everyone of them claim it was thier country or someone in their family is responsible for it. A lesson on ancient Persian Empire 2500 years ago.. On the carved walls of the Persepolise ruins some of the Kings and queens and Royal families holding a small bird , some birds got a little container tied up around their legs .. there are other walls where those birds are seen flying by hundred and flying in circles.. hmmmm I wonder what kinda bird would that be?? Any ideas? I guess that will settle where and when first humans start understanding the pigones. You mentioned that people damaging their health and I do agree. But since I remember myself being around them as a kid a family member dedicated the top level of his house and the flat roof to his pigeons.. honestly no one was able to count how many there were .. just a house with 4 bedroom and the whole roof there was no room left they were so many.. perhaps it would be hard for you to believe if I told you there ware absolutely not even 1 green pigones among them. We call them ,. Wild Cave Pigeon ( the gray with 2 blue bars ). He wouldn't allow them to mingle with the colored birds. He did have many of them. But they were not wild and he kept em together in a separate location away from this house. So that's another thing that people around the world damaged (the colored mutation of the racing types) he did mention that the colored ones came from the gray ones but if they get mixed the end result will be like what I see in your loft.. You also mentioned something about challenge.. to me racing and making money of them isn't a challenge since millions of people are doing it. I do have a challenge for you and he is 58 days old today. If you are interested DuDu and I will show you what pigeons are capable of. It's not racing or delivery top secret messages. It's beyond that Sir. I do respect your work and dedication although mainly based on business part of it, yet it's very clear that you really do care about them. Wishing you the best for you and your lovely ones. God bless you

what is one loft racing, ? the video did not even explain what it Is
@Cosmic_Bullies5 жыл бұрын
From what I've put together its a huge race amoungst pigeon breeders. Normal races is you raise your birds in your own loft and race time you send them off to the starting point there released and the fastest ones back wins. It goes by time it takes not by distance so every bird is to return to his own loft. Now one loft racing seems to be: Breeders take there best birds and at a very young age ship them off to the one loft (as per name) The host of the one loft raises and trains the birds up until race day and then they all get took off to the same distance and all of the birds get to race back to the one loft. and im guessing fastest ones in wins. Each bird is identified by its leg band.
