I wish people appreciate pigeons instead of cursing and abusing them. Pigeons are such lovely, calm, sweet birds. They're the kind of birds only those who know how to listen and give space can appreciate. They're not flashy in looks or personality, but those who pay attention can see the beauty of the UV green/purple in their deceptive gray

hey, I just rescued a pigeon with a broken bone who was freezing to death out in the rain. We've been (unfortunately forcibly) feeding him chickweed, sunflower seeds and bread with almond flakes and playing him classical music so he calms down. I played the sound of your pigeon to him and he sat listening with his eyes half closed and his feathers fluffed up. He didn't flinch when I touched him. This is quite remarkable considering that he's an injured wild animal in a lot of pain and an hour ago he was sure I was going to eat him. I'll let this little guy go after he's well enough to fly, eating on his own and grooming himself. thanks for sharing this, it helped me help an unwell pigeon. whatever your pigeon is saying to you, it seems to be a good message.

@@justiceandstarsstudios he got better and flew away. after that I don't know. when he started showing signs of frustration with being kept indoors, I took him outside and put him in the sun. He tried to fly away once but wasn't strong enough, so I got him back and gave him food and water. The next day he was able to fly up onto the roof where he stayed for a few hours before flying back wherever his home was. Hasn't been back, I miss him.

Pigeons are one of the oldest domesticated animals. But sadly, thanks to the progress of technology, we abandoned pigeons, and nowadays many consider them pests. The reason they only live in cities and farms is because we’re both their food source and because our buildings are the only structures they feel at home in. The flocks on the city streets aren’t wild animals, they’re feral, much in the same way of stray dogs and cats. Fearing us isn’t in their nature, they learn that through trauma.

My friend's mom had a pet pigeon named Siete (seven in Spanish) and she was such a good bird. She would stand on your arm and make that same cooing sound as in this video, and let you pet her gently on the head. She was so cute...

Pigeons are so sweet and cute! I don't care what others think, if they're "dirty birds" or not! So what???!!!! They poo! Every living animal does. @@Etrvb I appreciate the speedy reply. Thank you. The wood pigeon has water, porridge (made with water), sweetcorn and peas, some dried oats and some chickweed. If the pigeon can last a few days, I think it will fly away. I hope so. 👍

I love pigeons ❤ have been feeding them for 2 yrs, never miss a day! Such a peaceful, noble birds. Absolutely harmless!. What they saying about them spreading disease is NOT TRUE. People can't get it from them! We have to help them in the winter cos there isn't any food for them.

You realize because you stroke your pigeon, he views you as a mate and he's trying to screw your hand, right? And when he's sucking on your fingers he's trying to regurgitate food for you, which is something birds do when they mate.

she probably has more than one pigeon and that tension will be resolved with another pigeon. The pigeons beak doesnt really do a lot of damage nor do their wing slaps. A big parrots bite like a macaw does a lot of damage

@@zfox8754 It is what it is, I'm stating a fact. And I'm talking about it because it needs to be talked about. Because as mammals we like to cuddle, and for birds, cuddling is only for the mate. So people go out and buy a bird, cuddle with it, next thing they know the bird is puking on their hands, biting them, attacking other members of the house-hold. And then they get rid of the bird, because they don't know why their bird is doing all these things. I care about the birds, so yes, I'm gonna talk about it.

Aw I’m sorry. A lot of rescue centres have disabled non releasable pigeons. I am sure they would love someone who likes pigeons to give them a forever home.

Thats hillarious! The bird in the video is acxually trying to threathen the human who he sees as a rival. Walking around in circles, cooing and inflating their throat are the signs of that. Your comment comes off as kinda hilarious when you realise that.

My pigeon flew away. He was old and would sleep here. Felt better and left. I miss him, but might come back today. My dad saw him this morning. He knows that this is his house and even picked his place here. He even knew where to poop his mountains. We took care of his parasites, fed him and gave him water. let him go outside as he liked it. Then he flew away yesterday. Whatever he wants I'm happy for him.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER If you have any questions let me know xx
