The guy in the first duel didn't waste his effects, Zombie lord only revives itself if it was destroyed by effects, not by battle. So the AI wasn't completly dumb in this case.

Obelisk Blue is the only dorm with a specific girls' dorm, but they aren't the only dorm with female characters. I remember in the anime there were a few girl extras in crowd scenes wearing Ra Yellow uniforms, and when Blaire comes back she does so explicitly as a Slifer Red female student. It just happens to be that Obelisk Blue is the only one where the girls get their own *building*, because, well... the usual benefits of Obelisk Blue privilege status. I'm pretty sure that the other dorms are just co-ed.

The ra girls were an animation error, all girls at duel academy are automatically put in obelisk blue because it is the only one with a female dorm. Blair got a pass because she was given Chazz's renovated room meant for 1 person anyway, so it functioned as a female dorm for her.

Asprey if you go to the desk in your room, you can check the forbidden limited list. and yes, mirror force is on the ban list... along with some... other interesting things. Worth a look, will give you some insight into what your opponent could have.

40:43 An old rule that no longer applies. Originally a monster with an activatable effect had spell speed 1 after summon to activate it before the opponent responded with any traps. Was why Exiled Force was so strong back in the day.

the mechanic of fighting a character to spawn their pack is meant so that you can prepare a deck that can complement the duelist in question, the more you fight a guy the more likely is that the kids are farming them and that means they will come to look for you on weekends, meaning the chances of kids having the possibility of making a deck that complements their tag partner go up and so they don't get frustrated, also the reason they bank on that is that kids like anime cards and the fact that because they come and go your brain wants to stockpile those character boosters if you don't know how the mechanic works

The one thing they didn’t reuse from Forbidden memories, duelist of the roses, and falsebound kingdom were the soundtracks, which I don’t understand at all. I believe they had the best soundtracks of all the Yugioh games (forbidden memories especially)

the perk with shuffling your deck is if you don't want what was placed on the top to be drawn, so its either to get a better draw or to improve a chance of getting a card. coarse this is back when there wasn't a lot of drawing, milling and summoning options

I highly recommend you check out the HD texture packs for these games. There may be an issue here and there but they're fantastic and won't make you need eye drops after playing them.

For World Championship 2006 I used a Light Machine deck that was a fusion of Cyber Dragon (Zane's cards) + the VWXYZ (Chazz's cards) with Future Fusion for the one fusion where you literally deck all of your machines and then overload fusion it for like 10000+k atk. It won 99% of the time I used it lul

Nice. My deck was a simple light lvl monster deck. Getting out Silent Swordsman Lv 7, Silent Magician Lv 8 and Mirage Dragon out early to stop my opponent from using Traps and Spells. This was for WC 2008, 94% win rate.

I honestly prefer the WC from the Tag Force games. The tagforce games have better stories but less gameplay features

@@nkoonkukoo yeah replaying it now I realize it but I love doing tag duels :> As a kid I would play this (well I had tag force 2 so I always was tag teamed with Aster, Destiny Heroes are op, and WC 2006 as the Yugioh games I had) non-stop until my PSP broke :( Another deck I used in WC2006 that I loved was a dark fiend deck with Malice Doll, Ectoplasm, Necrofear, and that sacred beast that you tribute 3 fiends for. I also used the field spells respectively for each deck that gave the monsters I was using 500 atk for their attributes

3:20:30 That's close but not exactly, and I know because I made a Destiny Board deck in this game. The glitch is that even though the F letter card says that if any of the cards (F, I, N, A, technically L too but at that point you win) gets removed from the field, all the other cards from this effect get sent to the graveyard, it actually doesn't. So if you've already got F, I and N on the field and any of them get removed, the other 2 stay there, the effect is interrupted and you can't use those 2 card zones unless the cards get destroyed or you use Giant Trunade or something (not that I did, honestly not that many times has this glitch been an issue, and when it was then I just won with something else because my deck was basically a regular deck with a few monsters and stuff but with a bunch of Destiny Board cards too because it was fun to get the win, the animation and the bonus points). I think everytime the AI tries to destroy the chain it destroys the first card, the F one, and I remember that that one gets destroyed and the others don't. The fact that one can still win with the effect quite easily even with this glitch that prevents from trying the chain for a second or third time, if the glitch wasn't there it'd be practically impossible to lose, just put some defensive cards in there and it does the job. Unless this is specifically a PSP version thing, because I have the PS2 one but I remember that they're the same, glitches and all, just that the PS2 one has like the thing where you can read 2 discs at once to get some stuff unlocked in one of the discs, which in this game is like 3 cards if you do it with the Tag Force 2 game. I don't think the PSP could do that. It'd be weird if they had corrected this one glitch but left others that are prominent, like how one of Jaden's prominent fusion monsters' main effect just doesn't work, or how Destiny Board still has that glitch I mentioned in the PS2 version.

Girls get a free ride to obelisk blue because they are the only dorm with a girls dormitory. That's why there are no girls in any other dorms and why the obelisk blue girls are so easy to beat.

Until the dark world arc. Then his character turns to shit, where he blames Jaden for saving him all the time, and that Jaden purposely keeps his friends weak and dependant. Basically everyone refused to admit their weakness, got kidnapped, and then they were all sacrificed, and even though Jaden won, everyone except Syrus was "dead". Syrus directly contributed to Jaden's depression and the descent to madness. Syrus at least did slightly redeem himself taking care of Zane when they came back and actually became a man.

You should try to use Machine Duplication with Proto Cyber Dragon, it will allow you to summon regular Cyber Dragon because Proto is treated as regular Cyber Dragon while on field. It's really fun to pull off

Last I checked, there was not. It's still just the giant YGO Abridged shitpost + edgelord 'jokes' translation. It's a shame because outside of the character dialogue, all of the cards and other things are translated properly.
