You can crush and kill rock Pikmin with any regular enemy if the floor underneath them is hard (Concrete, Tile, etc.) Olimar even mentions this in his notes.

Ice Pikmin usually float on water/bottomless mud. But if they get hit by while in this state, they start to flail around and drown. If you whistle them, they go back to floating

Purple pikmin have a hidden stat to where latching onto an enemy (instead of ground pounding them) after being thrown counts as ground pounding which deals extra damage, so if you spam throw purple pikmin onto an enemy, they die much faster than using reds

however, it doesn't count with Oatchi's rush, which means that Purples are better for spamming while Rocks are better with Oatchi's rush to one shot enemies

fun fact (and this is a REALLY rare case that you would need to use this, but im saying it anyways) imagine you have an elevated platform, with some unplucked pikmin on it. (i would recommend using the below grade discoteque floor 3 for this, as it has a winged candypop bud on an eleveted platform) if you rush into the side of the elevated platform with oatchi, it can pluck the pikmin. it is a really obscure fact that i had no idea you could do until today

I think it’s because oachi and the captain get teleported back up but pikmin die so if they are on oachi the game teleports them with him but this is probably intentional

When you jump a top of a closed cave entrance as it opens, it will flung you out of oatchi, and also knock him back along with your pikmin. Also a myth: rock pikmin *can* be crushed...if the surface they're crushed at isnt a soft surface, like cement, rock, etc.

Myth: there are certain zones where Pikmin are allowed to sing. Context: i have been running around in blossoming arcadia and Serene Shores 2 days each to see what songs they sing and in some areas they are alwais silent no matter how much i run. Furthermore people said they only sing certain Songs with a certain number of pikmin from 1 type (like the pikmin 2 waterwraith theme), which in my tests did not match and looked more like its a place and time thing instead. Bonus: Songs i have heard so far Waterwraith theme, Awakening Woods, the no more treasure song from Pikmin 2 and 2 songs i could not recognise

In Pikmin 4, you can get neat bonus dialog with (I think) every castaway if you look just like them. Complete with one character filling us in on some sort of Biofactory that is used to create new life, just like herself. I did, however, only find this out via a video I saw the other day. Still neat though. So for my real bit of Trivia for Pikmin 4. Sometimes, Winged Pikmin will simply drop things and idle. I've noticed this in two spots, both involving berries. In the first zones berry spot, after using the air to cross the water (For some reason), every so often a winged pikmin will simply drop the berry and idle next to it. In the final area of the game, once again with berries, on the way back along steps you'd need to climb by jumping, on the 2nd (or maybe 3rd?) step, they'll sometimes drop the berry and idle. I have no idea why this happens.

This is probably obvious : In one sublevel of the final cave in pik 4, a snowball can actually grab dwarf bulborbs and make them roll around until they slam to a wall and die. I wonder if they programmed other enemies to do this too

Funni facts: u can very easily complete the game without needing most (or even all the onions, except the red one the game forces u to get), as u can just get wild Pikmin from around the maps, and i believe an infinte amount from going to the underground

One of the myths I've been wanting to know about is if your time spent in caves truly does affect the clock above ground. The game states that yes, it moves at 1/6th the speed underground, but I haven't found concrete evidence of this being true or false. Any way you could test this to see if staying in a cave for an extended period truly does make the above ground clock still move ? Or is it simply that spending time in a cave will only advance the clock forward a set amount ? It's been one of the biggest questions I've had about Pikmin 4 that I'd love to find an answer to !

I actually tested that but I didn’t make it into the video because I had too many timer ones already. It does actually do 1/6 time. I stayed in a cave for 30 mins and 5 mins passed on the surface

In Pikmin 2 on Days 1 31 61 91 and so on, you can find these little bugs called Ujadani. They give you nectar, spicy spray, and bitter spray upon defeat and can attack with poison, although it's so rare you'll probably never see it

Nice! Though some notes: * It doesn't look like Spicy Pikmin drown faster. They take the same amount of time from flailing to drowning. What you DO see being faster is the animation for them collapsing and dying, but during that animation they are already dead. * For the damage calculation for Purple Pikmin, did you take into consideration their throw "stomp" damage?

I think the reason the Orange Bulborb keeps following you is a bug, if you notice, it doesn't walk back to where it was and go to sleep, it does straight into the sleep animation, thus resetting its range. I'm assuming this is a bug as i don't see why they would be the only one to do this

In Pikmin 3, when your total squad is 67+, Winged Pikmin carry slower. This holds true in Ultra Spicy, where the squad cap is 60, meaning the Ultra Spicy difficulty buffs Wingeds funnily enough. But does this hold true for Pikmin 4, and if so, is it actually dynamic or still 67+?

I wonder if Ultra-Spicy Sprays still need Red/Purple Pikmin? In pikmin 2 they basically reset everyone's power to 1x, then increased their attack speed to 1.3x (I think) meaning it wasnt really a buff for the Reds/Purples. Idk if it still did the same in 3, but I'd be interested to see how it stacks now! (Also lowkey bummed that ice and white pikmin have the same shitty attack as the pink ones lol)
