One of my favourite Eastern Europe locos and I have the old version which I love but this version is just spectacular. I am really impressed with Piko during their entire history as a model producer.

Hi Erik, The Ludmilla is one of my favorite Diesels, you got this one for a good price considering its the Expert model. Piko are a great brand and produce very smooth and reliable Diesels, as you showed they start and stop very nicely and handled your tight curves and points easily. Hello, Erik! Indeed, beautiful runner, at slow speed it is quite silent. I guess all "Expert" range of Piko is this good, generally speaking, at least your Ludmilla's analogue generation. I have a very old BR130, not sure it's Piko as it doesn't have any label, I only guess it is, but it is a nightmare - I must admit I'm far from being an great fixer, yet I've tried about 3 times to make it go better, but in vain. I like the way you painted the front lamps, it is quite good. I think you have two Ludmillas, this and that light blue one, also a pretty good runner. Hi Chris, the old BR130 could be Gützold or old Piko. They were not so great. The motors were usually noisy and not smooth runners. It might be possible to replace it with a modern motor, but then again the mechanism wasn't to great too. They often suffered of splitting cog wheels... Thanks for watching!
