Hi Paul, the TEP70BS locomotives usually come totally in red or in dark grey - light grey - red. It's a difficult choice indeed, because I also like BR Class 47 / Class 50 and I only have one such Lima modified French locomotive. 🙂 I could try to buy a second one of course, but I really should limit the expansion of my collection, somehow... 😇 I have a Lima BR216 though, which could serve in BR Blue and Yellow. It looks a bit like Class 35 but I think Class 35 never had the livery with the very large BR double arrow logo (which is easier to hand paint then the smaller one). And the configuration of the windows etc. is also quite different from the 216.

Russian 100% BR Class 50 is the closest, but it would be a bit on the massive size.

That's true. For my UK layout I probably shouldn't go bigger than a 4 axle diesel.

I'd go more for the Soviet-Russian locomotive, British locomotives have a lower loading gauge.

Hi Erik, if you go down the British blue route, I think this loco looks more like a British Rail Class 50 than the Class 47 that you showed in the inset photo. Good luck with your decision! Ben

As a Russian TEP70BS diesel it could be towing different passenger carriages, I have quite a few soviet carriages. The ones in the video are not really Russian, they are old French Jouef coaches, which I had for free. As a British diesel it could pull freight or passenger trains. I have a few MK1 coaches, as well in OO- as in H0-scale.
