Join me for a full body pilates workout with weights to tone and strengthen your body. This 25 minute workout will use light weights to help you build more strength and control in your body as well as increase your bone density and muscle tone. The weights I am using are 1kg / 2 pounds but of course you can go lighter or a little heavier to suit you. You can also do the workout without weights if you prefer. This session focuses on control and would be especially beneficial for everyone including those with hypermobility as the weights help you focus on your joint placement and controlled mobility. Thank you Rachel for all your Senior Workouts! I love them! I can’t take my walks anymore because of an old ankle injury with arthritis. I use many of your different Pilates workouts to try to stay in shape as much as I can. Do you have workouts for aerobic fitness for seniors?

Hi Rachel, so happy to see this. I have not done any Pilates for a while but tut today I thought I would pop back to you and see what new videos you have, it has inspired me to start Pilates again. I have missed it. This year is the first year since 2020 that I have no operations and health issues, I can now start to fully get back to exercising like I was before. I also see you have a new arms workout with the chair cant wait to so that one too. Hi Sarah, how lovely to hear from you. I know you have had a tough time over the last few years so I am so happy to hear the health issues are behind you and you are able to come back to exercise. Remember to be easy on yourself, I know you push yourself very hard so take it one step at a time. The arm workout withthe chair is a great one for toning the arms and I have lots of new vidoes for you to do since we last met. Amazing, well done. Your videos are the best on KZbin though. @@TheGirlWithThePilatesMat I have around a half stone more to loose, I have lost a lot of the medication weight already, very slow progress. Well!! That was a challenge and no mistake! I only had 1.5 kilo weights so it was a good workout……but so much fun as ever. Thank you for your part in getting us all moving and feeling better in every way!

A challenge. Did this after my work day thinking “ only 25 min”, wow! I was able to do it using my 2lbs dumbbells. Only problem was an annoying foot cramp in my right foot while attempting the lean backs arm raising combo. ;)

This made my day. I didn’t actually feel like exercising today and jumped on to do a quick bank exercise just to keep me active. And saw this. Amazing! It is going to change a heap of my other mat exercises. I prefer using a prop for some reason. I think it gives me something else to focus on. Thanks again. Your videos have changed my fitness game!

That was absolutely awesome! Worked out with weights for years until brain surgeries, fell in love with pilates for core strengthening/balance needs - for you to bring the two together so enjoyably, doable but with a challenge 🥵, is greatly appreciated! Thanks that was tough. I used my lightest weights 2,5 kg. I could do everything except raising the arms with the roll down. But could better roll up. I try it again with empty botlles of 1 kg.

That was fantastic! I have really been wanting to work on my arm and shoulder strength and this is just what I needed. Quite challenging (hence the need to work on my arms) but I will definitely be doing this one again (and again). Thank you so much Rachel for keeping me going with my exercise. I have not been as regular of late and was feeling a bit discouraged at having lost some muscle tone and balance, but you positive attitude and encouraging approach really helps make me want to keep going. Thank you!!

I loved this. Found it a challenging in a good way! My only “fail” was the roll up, I would need to nail my feet to the floor to come up. I had to resort to using my elbows and rocking up. I’m sure it still gave me a workout but it definitely wasn’t slow nor graceful. 😊 I was mixing up a few other KZbin work outs but find I keep coming back to you most weekdays. Will you have more videos using weights? Thank you Rachel, from a 69 yr old nana from the Atlantic coast of Canada

Just commenting on my own post 8 months later to acknowledge to myself how far I’ve come. Got the roll up figured out with a small cushion under my lower back. I found it a good workout but not as challenging as I did 8 months ago. Rachel is now my only go to. I try to do 3-6 of her workouts each week. ❤️

Really enjoyed this class. The weights helped with rolling back up as I find my feet lift when doing roll ups with knees bent normally. I find them easier with legs straight. Thanks for another great session.

Did it a second time with the water bottles but stayed the same with the arms overhead in the roll down and used the resistant band for the rolling.
