Ha good to see! We sat in that destroyed Prado and put the bonnet back on, they had a good CD collection. I just remember the bird calls around the Ruddall river being incredible. We broke it down a bit more and camped in the spot you filmed in on the southern entry and that was a good one with heaps of firewood and a hidden bore for you water refills. Look forward to seeing your camp at DQB.

I didn't notice the CD collection! I suppose it was quite crispy...I've just edited our arrival at DQB and ohhh the bird song in the morning 😁 so you camped where the old bore was? That was a nice shady spot 🙂

Thoroughly enjoyed your video. The person that experienced the migraine headache may have been better off, taking some meds for that problem. I have suffered with migraines for more than 50 years. I have the goods prescribed to me from my DR and now I only get very minor headaches. It has change my life and can go off grid for as long as I like. Within reason of course. Cheers.

That must be the worst! At least you've got it managed now. I suppose it has to get quite a regular problem before you consider medicating it?

Great video as always gents! Good to see you using Droney Stark to help round up some cattle while you're at it 👍 Also, you should market the 'Jake & Alex Bobbleheads' (12m30s)... Every Chrissy stocking should have one 😉 Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I was at the Perth 4wd show. At a suspension stand, a blue shirt asked the shock absorber guy if his shocks were up to extreme 4wdriving. The young bluey was asked what he meant by extreme 4wdriving., the answer was, like the powerlines and stuff,, The shockie guy answered with a wry smile”that’s not extreme on shockies mate, that’s a walk in the park. What’s extreme on shockies is driving through the Outback on hundreds of kilometres of rough corrugated tracks”
@buster1305796 жыл бұрын
Haha can do powerlines in a stock 4x4.
@SLADE3306 жыл бұрын
buster130579 I was really saying about the torture shockies get on our outback roads. As indicated at a point in this film. Outback touring is probably as hard on gear as technical stuff.

Epic wandering already, finding your rhythm at the early days of the adventure. Can’t wait to see what’s down the trail, after your shocks cool down of course 🛠 P.S. This overland fitness regime of yours could take off Alex, just think - your own activewear line 💪

Corrugated roads for hours with a migraine sounds awful. I hope whoever that was got the trooper award... and first pick on the cold ones when they start to feel better.

if you dig away from the dirty water you found,the ground will filter as it fills,then boil,then drink.then die,mybe..any bend in a dry creek bed has water.or depression.shadier the better.

Fantastic video, glad to see you replaced Droney Stark. Does he have a name yet? I believe under the imaginative Iron man naming conventions it would be 'Droney Stark 2'

Great vid Alex 👌🏻 why did the Prado drive with the towball in the hitch?
@phantomwalker82516 жыл бұрын
its a prado,they know no better.read my above comment...a guy in the club,few yrs back,like 5,was really excited talking to his mate,"ive done it,i bought one,finally,its great,ect" he exclaimed,im about 2' away wandering what it was,.loo & beehooldd,he bought a prado,i walked away in disgust...rule is,if it has ifs,burn it.!~!.
@michaelcook52336 жыл бұрын
@@phantomwalker8251 i like your short sighted opinion 👌
@Alex.G6 жыл бұрын
I'll give you a proper answer Michael 😄 the thought process was that having it left in might save the rear bumper from a knock or two. Say...dropping off a ledge it might catch the towball rather than damage the bumper. That was the thinking behind it anyway, whether it's legitimate technique or not is up for debate.
@michaelcook52336 жыл бұрын
@@Alex.G thank you mate i appreciate it! And if it worked for him and did what was intended, the logic is fine. Only the scrape exiting the creek bed made me ask.

@Alex.G6 жыл бұрын
It all depends on preference. The Prado is the perfect size for 2 people, and especially as they aren't really into the tougher tracks it does a good job. There's always a camper trailer if they need to haul more gear 🙂
