Mind blowing modeling and weathering. Love the automation. The only thing that broke the illusion for me was the instantaneous acceleration and braking. A pulse width modulation circuit to ease in and ease out the motor would fix that.
@TheFreaker863 жыл бұрын
The technology they use for this is 20 years old now. This was implemented right at the initial opening of the exhibition. And since then it is used throughout the whole model layout. And they have grown and still are growing quite a bit. So changing the acceleration and deceleration would be doable I guess (they have done other much more difficult projects I would estimate), but doing so is a considerably big change in size.

That was the only standout for me too. Absolutely incredible composition and layout. With the right directional lighting I am sure many scenes here would be completely indistinguishable from real city settings. BRAVO 👍⚒️🏆🇬🇧

Absolutely mesmerizing! Between the miniature people in the vehicles, the vehicles moving and navigating turns themselves, and the humans walking among the models, i am delighted as to be so confused exactly where in this Gulliver’s world of modeling i really exist. We need more of this to keep our perspective in a crazy world.

The detail is amazing. I particularly like the fact that not everything is meant to look brand new--buildings, streets and even vehicles (Mercedes) . . . which in my opinion, gives the model considerably more authenticity and realism.

I imagine you really wanted to show the car traffic on the layout and I have to say that is impressive. One thing I really like is that the cars and traffic are moving at believable speeds and without jittery movements or too sharp turns. Very realistic.

The comment on slowing down the cars is accurate. Similar to DCC, the cars and trucks could match the scale motion. Otherwise, extremely nice!
@Patrick94GSR6 жыл бұрын
Probably not feasible since all the vehicles have self-contained power supplies instead of a large power supply sending power through tracks with the DCC signal encoded.
