If Im not mistaken this is the area on the Wasatch mountains where the King of Random died. It used to be a hill climb for motorcycles then the parasailers took it over. I saw one guy who landed on a power line and they ended up amputating his arms at the elbows and a fair amount of his abdomen but he survived miraculously.

This looks really cool at first glance. All it takes is a slight miscalculation or a shift in the wind, and you end up with your kneecaps in your throat. Most drop zones don't allow 'Hook Turns', due to the unpredictability of the circumstances. After seeing a friend 'hook' in and spend 4 years in a wheelchair. He was able to stand, after 2 more years of physical therapy. There's a saying for pilots, "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, there are no old, bold pilots." Think about which one that one is.

I'd rather BASE or Skydive than do this. Those things are prone to collapse and you're at the mercy of mother nature.
