Your buddy steered you well to run west out of downtown. If you go east, it gets pretty bad, pretty fast. I lived in Cleveland for 5 years in the 60's-70's. They have improved it a LOT since then!

I’ve had Achilles tendinitis. I’d give it a couple weeks of rest. I replaced running with biking during that time. It sucks not being able to run, but worth letting it recover properly. 🙏

Hey Joey, I live in the Cleveland area. Like I saw someone else say, definitely best to go west when downtown. If you’re ever in the area again, there’s lots of good running along edgewater park where you were and into Ohio city and tremont. Closer to the airport, the rocky river reservation has an insane amount of running trails and a really long paved trail as well. Let me know if you want to go for a run sometime!

I was dealing with Achilles tendinitis a couple months back . I had to dial my mileage back for a while . Took up swimming for a second haha . Definitely took longer than I wanted but I’m back . Slow heavy calf raises and tib raises helped a lot

Cleveland is americas best kept secret. You won't find more perfect summertime weather than cleveland. The city erects out of a massive national park right up against a beautiful lake. Bro you have no idea how sick the running and biking is around there. You can go over 100 miles in the national park without ever touching a road. Next time check out the tow path. There basically is no end to it. It starts in the flats. You can take it all the way to cincinnati. You can go from city, to beach to national forest in one run. But tell everyone cleveland sucks, let it remain a secret.
