Thanks for the great video! I always have been wondering why v1 increases as takeoff weight increases. I think it’s something to do with balanced field theory but I am not sure. Please share your knowledge!
@PILOTCLIMB
@PILOTCLIMB 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, it all depends if you are performance limited (short runway for example), than in this case the V1 actually decrease with the weight..however, most of the time we have long runways thus the higher the weight the higher the V1(the V1 has a relationship with the Vr) because you will be able to stop the Aircraft within the ASDA. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello captain , can you explain how increasing v1 can help in climb performance if we are limited by the obstacle limit ?

What would happen if you delay to apply back pressure (rotate) when you're at Vr ?
@PILOTCLIMB
@PILOTCLIMB Жыл бұрын
You rotate late, which is not ideal since you have calculated the takeoff performance based on a rotation at Vr

Thx, great content! Based on ur experience, let's say u got a vR at 140 kt , what would be (approx.) the lift of speed in both cases AEO & OEI (continued take-off) ? Can u estimate, at what angle the A/C gets first airborne ? Even if a pilot target 12.5-15° it looks like the A/C lifts way earlier (at about 7-8°) in the simulator,

Hey, many thanks for watching and the comment!! The pitch angle and speeds during take off depends on the Aircraft type. Check out the Simulator videos I made to have an idea about the Boeing 737.

Good Day Capt,is density altitude also important for B737 aircraft or only for propeller cessna aircraft?as I know QNH and QNE are pressure altitude...
@PILOTCLIMB
@PILOTCLIMB 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, many thanks for watching. The Density Altitude is also important for the B737 performances. When you calculate the take-off or landing performance you need to take into account the Pressure and the Temperature.
