Actually, I prefer the A330 for the seating configuration. But the A350 and Dreamliner are both solid aircraft.

I have been on both and from a passenger experience, I would give the edge to the a350. It has all the same benefits of the 787 (lower cabin altitude and quieter) but is far less cramped in economy due to its wider cabin. Performance and looks, I think both are fantastic aircraft. I slightly perfer the look of the a350 but I love the swept back racked wings on the dreamliner

A350 is my fav Airbus and 787 is my fav Boeing xD I flew on a350 thrice but not yet on 787. Hope will get a chance soon.

The true opponent of the 787 is the 330NEO, whereas the competitor of 350 is the 772. Look at the seat capacity 787 is the evolution of 767. The 767 was opposed to the 330CEO. No need to mention that the 33NEO is the upgrade of the 33CEO. Look at the seat capacity 350 is the evolution of 340. The 340 was opposed to the 772. Look at the seat capacity It's irrevelant to compare a 350 to a 787. If so, the 787 would have two opponents: the 350 and the 330NEO. As you may see, it wouldn't be logic So, in terms of seat capacity, please compare the 350 to the 777. The Airbus 340 wasn't competing the 767, he was challenging the 777

The A350 should be a direct replacement for 777-200ERs/LRs. The 787 should be a direct replacement for the A330.
