If we can get a 10 hour edit, I can die happy! This song is so tranquil and nostalgic, I hear it and immediately I'm transported back to being eight years old during an N64 gaming session, swapping games out after playing them for periods of time, often just sitting in my chair and being completely enveloped in the soundtracks of the games and just vibing to them! (Aquatic Ambience from DKC was the first videogame song that I did that with - just sat and listened to the music because of how much I liked the song, and it would carry over to the N64 with Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Wave Race 64, Snowboard Kids, Ocarina of Time, and of course Pilotwings 64!) Back then, I thought I was the only person who really appreciated the soundtracks from my favorite videogames - often if one of my friends also happened to play videogames, they would show no interest in the music like I did; Videogames were for playing! If I wanted to listen to music, well that's what cassette tapes and CDs were for! I definitely felt like a "weirdo" for being so invested in the music of a videogame. Discovering an entire group of people over the last almost three decades who were just like me and not only enjoyed videogame soundtracks, but also had a special connection to them like I did, has been such a validating, heartwarming experience!

even before this, Konami had great NES soundtracks. Capcom and first party Nintendo did also. Some "one off" ones are really good, like Ninja Gaiden 1&2, the Double Dragon games...
