Pac was too real to rate JayZ. Pac wasn’t just about talent. Dude was next level… There’s a reason Pac is still remembered this deeply Because he spoke to peoples hearts He spoke on real issues He put his image and life on the line Biggy and Jay had the talent but not the heart Not the character Not the conviction Not the vision Not the charisma Not the crossover talent to movies and beyond Pac was on another level People think Pac couldn’t easily play with words like Jay or Big Pac wanted people to hear exactly what he meant No metaphors and bs Straight to the gut

Beyond just Pac, the South and the West always rode together and supported each other. There were a lot of connections. Master P lived in Richmond at some point and had family there. Spice 1 was born in Texas and had family here. E40 went to school in Grambling. DOC connected with Dre early. Plus the fact that alot of Bay and South artist were all signed with Jive. @@theetruth8626 I know there's ppl from the south all over the US. Even Midwest ppl privates from the south. My point was alot of early rap artists from the West Coast had direct ties to the south and they often were also label mates. It created a bond between the regions and their music. Even Midwest ppl originated from the south. Cities like Chicago n Cleveland showed love to the south as well. The point of my comment was to help explain why the South had so much love for Tupac.

Was 2pac better than Jay Z? Yes imo! For the people who saying Jay Z wouldn’t be Jay z if 2pac was alive, are fooling themselves. Jay still can rap and has the body of work. If he would have beef with 2pac and lost, he still would have been successful. He lost to Nas and he still more successful than Nas. Jay was bound to make it. I honestly feel like his popularity boosted more when he hook up with the beehive aka Beyoncé. Her fans became his fans and it was nothing stopping him after that!

@@rapartist9309 I never said he wasn’t on top. Reading is fundamental. I CLEARLY said it boosted his popularity and gain him more fans.

I think after big passing is when he ascended to the top. But that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't say he lost to Nas. He dropped a diss so cold that his mom made his apologize for it! Not to mention that Jay career took off even further after Ether meanwhile Nas and his career went on a rapid decline.

Yes. Very. The most influential rapper ever. Good and bad. I'd say more bad than good. Sad to say.
