It's always best to work over a soft towel instead of a hard surface, that way parts don't bounce around and get lost! Especially small parts like those C clamps, they are easily lost!

do you reckon there is a fix for the penn fathom casting special mag ? its in a really bad place can it be shrunk or moved and not loose ratchet ? what do you think ?

Buy a Penn Fathom 15 SD Mag instead its £50 cheaper, has a mag adjuster that is set flush with the side plate and then buy a set of abec 9 hybrid ceramic bearings, install them in the Penn Fathom 15 SD Mag and it will out perform the casting special by around 20% AND will be £30 cheaper....I did this with a Penn Fathom 12 SD using PMR abec 9 hybrid ceramic bearings and its a little beastie...........

Any idea why my 7ht mag has an issue when sometimes line seems to peel off and I can't wind it in. I then have to mess around with the reel to make it work again.
