That was great Jeff. I started Karate last year and can see how it gets a bad rep. My first few sessions were purely working on katas and I thought it was just a bit silly to be honest. When we moved onto the bunkai it finally made sense. I think it's summed up with 'karate isn't for fighting - it's for stopping a fight'.
