Please leave small pine mushrooms.

The ones that's are uncovered won't grow any bigger. It's hard to know if they are big enough without uncovering them. More will grow around there for a few months still. 😃

So dry up there and no rain, mind tell us what was the elevation. Great video, I enjoy.
@mushroomsforagingadventures8 ай бұрын
Yes, it was very dry up there, and there was no rain in sight in the forecast. My onxhunt GPS says it's a little over 6100 feet. Hope that helps. ☺️

How does he know where to have mushrooms before deciding to dig for it? What are the signs?
@mushroomsforagingadventures6 ай бұрын
It's hard to tell from the video. If you go slow enough, you can spot Mounds and cracks that indicate where they are. 😉

The small button Mushroom is higher price. Big flower ones are lowest price. Five different grades and prices are very different for each grade. 😃

You don't use a stick to collect mushrooms, but you keep doing it by hand, which doesn't look good.
@mushroomsforagingadventures7 ай бұрын
Harvesting pine mushroom with your hands is the preferred method. Less damage to the mycelium underneath the mushroom. 😃 Digging sticks or any other form of digging tools are allowed but restricted at the end of the tip. Can only be wide about the width of a flat head screw driver in Chemult, Oregon. 😃
@mushroomsforagingadventures6 ай бұрын
It's easier and faster using a stick to dig them up for that reason. It is slower and harder to use your hands, I think using your hands does less damage to the mycelium. 😃

Hello. I am planning to be in Oregon in a few days. Would you like to be my private guide and show how to forage mushrooms . It is my dream to do it in US, as I grow up in Eastern European mountains and have been doing it all my life. Please reply if you be interested in my offer. Thanks in advance and looking forward to hear from you soon Luba

Someone is speaking Lao in the background ..do you need permits to forage mushroom? I’ll be in Oregon in 2 weeks,planning to go hiking and maybe foraging mushrooms too
@mushroomsforagingadventures8 ай бұрын
@christydara- Yes, and yes😅, stop by the Ranger Station in Crescent, Oregon, for a permit even if you're picking to eat. I think it's free. Commercial Pickers it's $100 for half season $200 for the whole season. Call them and ask if you need more info. Happy foraging. 😊

@@mushroomsforagingadventures thank you so much for the info 🙏🏻
@gabrielapetunia18718 ай бұрын
@@mushroomsforagingadventures I believe you can get the mushroom permit on line and there is also a big map that shows where you are not allowed to hunt. But I dint really pay attention too much as long as it is federal or state land.

Where’s your pine tool.? We use a pronged weeder. Gets underneath and pops up. If I could find good buyer I would pick them.

I love to pluck them. When the ground is really cold, then I will use a tool. 😃
