When you were making the hot chocolate, All your little touches to make it extra yummy reminded me so much of my grandmother. I find many things I do I can see my grandmother in it. Her house at Christmas time was Christmas Wonderland. My grandma loves Jesus, And we come from swedish norwegian heritage. My grandpa's favorite color was red and my grandma loved white. I remember her turning off all the lights, Making christmas pudding put in the candle in the middle, And walking around singing silent night. Some of the traditions sone are being carried onbut many are lost. My mom let go of many of the special things years ago as she got older. We have Rootbeer for christmas. When my mom was a little girl, Her grandparents my great grandparents made homemade root beer. So every year we have never been even my children. That tried to do Christmas root beer is a must. My kids do some things of years ago but not a lot. I'm going to start this year i'm gonna do it in January. And because I have muscle issues and pain. I'm gonna see if my daughter will help me, And we're gonna bring a little bit of Christmas. The way is I remember in January. That way, things will kind of be settled down for so many and invite people over and do a little bit of reminiscing of the past of the yummy's of christmas season. My great grandma talks about how they had christmas curtains. I did that for a while but wow, that was a lot of work, That I let go and couldn't enjoy other aspects to decorate. Your home is absolutely beautiful. I tell all my family to come and watch your channel. Because it is always so much fun and learning and learning and inspiration. Your mom's home is absolutely beautiful. I love homemade gifts I miss the ones my grandmother would make. It could be anything from the kitchen to something you would where many times display. Your wreaths are beautiful. This is the first year I've not had one and it feels off. But I'm still trying to push through Christmas. Merry christmas and thank you for taking us along I always look forward to each and every video you make. May the Lord bless you bunches and bunches. This Christmas season and the coming year.

I agree! Looking back over the years, my favorite gifts have been presents that were handmade. Either something baked, or this small painted winter scene a friend of mine made for me. That is a great idea Andrea , Thrifting for Christmas and repurposing some things is awesome. I thrift all the time but when I give gifts for Christmas I buy new. So next year I think I may do this. Get some neat stuff and find ways to flip it or add it to something. I mean there is so much produced in this world and so much tossed. I think if something is perfectly good at the thrift store why not get it clean it up or if it needs washed do that and give it as a gift.

Andrea when did your mom taking a liking to the 1600s decor? It is very unique and It is always fun to see how someone else decorates their home. Loved this video such great ideas . I actually did the same thing to my wreath . I had a wreath from last year and I went out to pick all kinds of greens to add to the wreath and it came out so full and beautiful and looks like a fresh expensive wreath nobody can tell . I was so happy to see someone else doing the same thing I did. It really saves a lot of money and you can make it anyway you like. I love your making a loaf of bread and some cinnamon butter as a gift idea ! What a really speacial gift that makes. I prefer gifts like that something homemade and thoughtful. Wonderful. My two boys are in their thirties now and I still miss those precious little boys and all the fun we had togeather. Enjoy every moment they grow up so fast too fast. Love both homes... makes me wonder if you craved the light ,after living in the moody, darks of your moms style. It seems you went in the complete opposite direction. I do tend to like dark,moody , jewel tones... but not primitives. I love darks and my best friend loves everything white. And both homes work for each of us. I love everything about your home, the style, the arches, the beams.... its all so homey!! The chili sounds amazing... I wrote it all down... now I need to make it!
