Celebrating Lunar New Year by baking our first pineapple tarts together - what a joy it was 🧧🍊🍊 Our hands were covered with flour and butter, but our kitchen was filled with lots of giggles. Wishing everyone a year filled with prosperity, happiness, and of course, lots of yummy treats! 🍍✨
[INGREDIENTS]
500g of Redman Pineapple Tart Mix
250g of Unsalted Butter
A pinch of salt
4 Egg Yolks
Additional egg yolks for brushing (as needed)
1kg of Redman Pineapple Paste Filling
[DIRECTIONS]
1. Separate egg yolks from egg whites, and set aside
2. Cut the butter into cubes, salt, and knead it into the tart mix. Mix until a 'breadcrumb' texture is achieved.
3. Add in the yolks, and knead thoroughly into a ball
4. Roll out the dough and cut out the tarts using a mould
5. Roll small balls from the pineapple paste filling, and place on top of tart shell
6. Brush the tart shell with egg wash. Keep the tarts in the freezer while waiting for the oven to preheat.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200C for 15-20 minutes
