Pineapple Upside Down Cake
This delicious Pineapple cake is baked with the pineapple slices placed down on golden Caramel and then is turned up!
This is a simple classic cake that even beginners will get right easily.
A Cake that is absolutely Delicious to eat, great to Look at
and of course, very Easy to do!

Recipe :
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
9 slices pineapple in juice (from 14-oz can), drained
9 cherries
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1cup powdered sugar
½ cup butter
1tsp vanilla essence
A pinch of salt
1 egg or ½ ripe banana or 3 tbsp yoghurt
½ cup milk
Method:
Sieve together the flour, baking powder thrice.
Heat oven to 175°C. In 9-inch square pan, melt butter in oven. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over melted butter. Arrange pineapple slices over brown sugar. Place a cherry in center of each pineapple slice.
In a medium bowl, beat remaining ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour batter over pineapple and cherries.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately place heatproof serving plate upside down over pan; turn plate and pan over. Leave pan over cake a few minutes so brown sugar mixture can drizzle over cake; remove pan. Serve warm. Store cake loosely covered.
