Having the wedges look different than my irons is of no concern. I like the ping wedge grips, nothing earth shattering but it show that they are always thinking. Ping in the best engineering company.

I have the 2.0 version of these in 52,56 & 60 and love em. Use Srixon Irons that don't look anything similar, the difference in looks between Iron and wedges doesn't bother me. Looking forward to trying these. Good review gents

Love watching Dan swing a golf club. Doesn’t matter if he’s chipping, pitching or making a full swing, it helps my swing.. actually you guys all have nice swings. Must be his tempo. Excellent video.

I had so many thoughts during this video. I don’t mind the wedges having a different look then my set at all. Glad you tried out that bottom groove Mark! You rarely have anything bad to say about Ping which I love because they don’t market like some of the other companies so I like them getting some love. Really enjoyed this boys!

WOW WOW WOW never been a ping fan currently game wilson c300 forged irons and went for a wedge fitting today. Wanted to game wilson wedge or cally md wedge but I'm glad i tried these. Spin was crazy and the lighter weight and shape suited my eye. Never hit a better wedge ever and I've had lots 😁

I like them, and I play some lovely Mizuno wedges. My 50 is quite roundy and that's what I love, so I could easily rock these in my bag.

Hilarious!! Great video. I have two 3.0 wedges on order and i210 irons. Have played Cleveland wedges for close to 20 years. Loved the 3.0 during fitting.

mark, can you test the wedges from inside of 120 yards...
@kourt24695 жыл бұрын
I think the lighter weight is brilliant. Almost all the mid-high handicappers I fit are playing 90-110 gram shafts in their irons and then they buy a vokey off the rack and it’s 40 grams heavier in the shaft and the head is much heavier too and their chipping and pitch shots really suffer and they struggle to control low point but once I put in a lighter shaft weight in their wedges they immediately control low point better. I have my theories of why but for many players lighter is actually better

Seems to me there are so many good wedges on the market out there... I do like the finish on these boys. Groovy... zip zip...ziiippp... All the little bells and whistles make sense to me. Next time I see these in a shop maybe I'll give them a go!!!

“I just grip it wherever” as Coach hits it consistently inconsistent. May want to rethink that approach.

100% agreed. If you aren’t putting your hands in the same spots all the time when you grip down and change shots- then you’re probably leaving making things harder on yourself

When you mention shape of the wedge and if it would fit in with the iron set...I have 3 different brands of wedges in my bag, 50 degree ping glide 2.0, 56 degree taylormade hi-toe and a 60degree vokey sm6. I love that they all look different and I'm happy that they don't fit in with my irons.

When you open your face on wedge shots, do you open the face then reset your grip with the face open or do you hold the face open through your take away?
@Soonerfrk115 жыл бұрын
peedizzle5 I hold mine open through the takeaway. 3 hcp, USA.
@peedizzle55 жыл бұрын
Thanks Burt, appreciate your time. I struggle to know whether to re-grip in the opened position so I appreciate this. Do you change your swing path or aim direction? Or is it simply open the face through wrist opening and swing the same or do you then compensate for this? U.K. - 20 HCP

Ready for a very very late comment? I still love my "1.0" 56...I have a 2.0 in 52. Will probably try a 3.0 in 60 degrees, as I've grown out of my "I am Phil" phase with my ridiculous 64...despite having pulled off many a flop with her; a 60 will fit my whole bag better...We'll see; hard to imagine one better than another to be honest.

@MrPjtmac4 жыл бұрын
Matt, just open your stance a bit when chipping. With your closed stance, you need to pull it a bit to get it on line. This will cause an inconsistent strike as the video shows. Sorry for the lesson.

why is it that in 90% of every wedge review there are no camera shots of how the ball reacts on the green? as a consumer that would be just as interesting to me like how the club reacts with the turf

Think the blending in for look with what woods,irons and hybrids is wrong way to build your bag. Vanity ain’t brought your score down. I got F8 cobra woods and hybrids... ap3 irons and black 588 Cleveland wedges and spider putter.
