The one thing unique about your tutorial is that you list the entire scale while denoting the notes to play in the scale. There are so many tutorials out there and yours stood out to me cause of that. I think what you are doing there is providing additional information with just that I snap shot of the entire scale A Natural Minor from your video 'Guns N' Roses - November Rain solos (Guitar lesson with TAB)' for example. Please don't stop doing that.

Yes, great job and very useful since it's slowed down! The only thing I was always aking myself how Gilmour did the octaved fourth just before the last two licks since nothing on the fretboard sounds right. Either it's some kind of flageolet or the producer somehow octaved it. I for myself simply don't play it octaved: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHjXg5Ror96LpqM

I already learned it! Prolly, it took around 3 weeks or so. Now it's time to speed it up and get rid of edges! Haha, honestly, when I put on the original song after playing it at the speed of this video for all that time, it sounds like it's sped up-I've never noticed how fast it actually is through all the years of listening. That was and still is mind-boggling. Oh yes, and thanks for this great tutorial!

@b-music93292 жыл бұрын
It's easier to bend on a Gibson with wrapparound bridge since the total strings lenght is quite a bit shorter here than in a Strat. Also it helps to use 009 strings instead of 010. I had no problems with bending. Check my version using a 1954 Goldtop Reissue: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHjXg5Ror96LpqM

@TheOuttabody9 күн бұрын
I don't know shit about electric guitars. I'm trying to play this on "acoustic guitar" with 13-56 gauge strings! The bends are nearly impossible for my "level". Literally, you gotta have steel fingers to pull it off. Not only that! If you don't play it fast enough at the right note with the right accent, it doesn't even sound like "Another Brick In The Wall". Maybe I am an hopeless idiot even trying to attempt to play this masterpiece, but as a guitar player, every guitar player attempts to bite more than he can chew to push himself to get better. "motivation" is the key for me! Nothing gives me more motivation than being able to play the songs I idolize to play. My fingertips could be "Comfortably Numb" or I may have visible tracks of strings digging into my finger tips, but I still find it in myself the desire/the motivation/the will to keep going. I put my guitar down on its stand. Then as if I were "obsessive compulsive", I pick it up again within 30 seconds to give another try! It is all because of the motivation/ the inspiration this masterpiece gives me to keep going. I recently changed my guitar strings to a lighter gauge, (11-52) which made it so much easier to bend, but bending from 13 to 17 on acoustic guitar is still a challenge for me. When bending is nearly impossible to make it sound like it (and I'm very anal on that, that it must sound like it. Close enough is not good enough!), I hit the string and "slide" from 13 to 15, hit it again slide it from 15 to 17, hit again slide it from 15 to 13. And it sounds pretty much like it. The drawback is that all these slides are not as "convenient" or (I should say!) fluent if you were able to just do the bend instead, because you're doing so much more, sliding and sliding rather than simply bending, but simply bending is not that simple. 😉 I, kind of, close the gap by practicing more and more and more and getting more fluent and faster with my slides.
