I’ve been listening to PF since 1971. I am 76 years old, 77 next month, and I can remember when this album came out. I was blown away. Never heard such music before. I saw them live twice. In Hamilton Ontario Canada and Syracuse NY, USA. Time flies. I was young and dumb then. Now I am a wise old grandfather of 4. My road ahead is getting shorter and shorter. I can reflect on my life now and I’ve done 100 dumb things but God got me through every one. I thank Him for where I am now in life. Pink Floyd will be played at my funeral. Some things I’ve learned in my travels through life are, be good to people, give them a 2nd chance, help people when you can, be faithful to your spouse and love your family unconditionally. If you’re listening to this music and reading my post, you’re probably a person I would love to know. Maybe we’ll meet on the other side (the good side I hope). Peace out, Tom. P.S. KZbin "Rumpus Band" then go down to the 5th song. You'll be blown away. A kid band singing Comfortably Numb. I just discovered them.

We are far apart geographically but very close musically. I'm 35 years old, I grew up listening to Pink Floyd. I never had the opportunity to see them together but I had the opportunity to attend a concert by David Gilmour on the Rattle that lock tour and Roger Waters on the Us and Them tour, it was an achievement for me, a moment that I will take with me for a lifetime. It would be a pleasure to make small talk listening to pink floyd with you my friend. Thank you internet, thank you Pink Floyd for providing moments like this. Greetings from Brazil!

I understand. I never got to see them live until the Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour! It was awesome, but still regretted that I never saw the original lineup play! They played the Animals tour in my city, but I was too young, and really knew nothing about them at the time! (1976), Then it was 3 years later before they did the Wall concerts, but these were only in New York and LA, California, and being a high school senior, from Louisville Ky, did not have the money to afford this!

So i just stayed around listening from outside along with a bunch of other guys. Then half the way through the show a kindly man opened a side door and we got inside. There were no seats except for some above the stage and i could hardly see half of it as the PA speaker column hid the right side. But it was much better than nothing.

I was. 11 when I first heard them coincidentally in a library in 1975. Back then, people could choose a vinyl record in public libraries, , and there were headphones for everyone and chairs. and I just sat there and heard the great gig in the sky by coincidence. Someone else was listening to the dark side of the moon. When I heard that, I was completely overwhelmed, and Pink Floyd became my favorite music for my entire life. I saw them 1980 in Dortmund, in one of 7 concerts in a row of The Wall. because the show was so big, they choosed the biggest hall in Germany and they only played in that hall. When I look back, all of the bands I saw back then, have been great. The best thing I did when I was a teen. I knew it was the right thing, and today I am glad I saw all of these Bands. Ac DC with bon Scott, van Halen, queen on "the game" tour Nazareth 2 times, Saga, and a lot more. Pink Floyd is the one, I never want to miss. I am glad that I did it.

Gilmour’s opinion about Roger, as stated in Rock Compact Disc Magazine, September 1992, is as follows: “He had developed his own limited or very simple style. He was never very keen on improving himself as a bass player, and half the time I would play bass on the records because I would tend to do it quicker. Right back to those early records; I mean, at least half the bass on all recorded output is me anyway. Well, I think it’s been said, but it’s certainly not something we go around advertising. Rog used to come in and say, ‘Thank you very much’ to me once in a while for winning him bass-playing polls.”

I was 10+ years old when the album came out. Not sure of my age when I first heard it but I'm sure I was a young teen. Like you, I should have seen them in the late 70s, 80s, and post Waters. Watching this live video in '74 brings me way back. At least I can imagine what it would have been like to see them in concert. Love it!

@@BrianTX409 here me being sad that I wasn't born in the UK instead of Iran and in 50s instead of late 80s, just I could have seen them live again and again and again. I'm so grateful for the little live shows we have, 4-5 of great quality like Delicate sound of thunder, Pulse, Knebworth, Venice and even this one is better the average bootleg. I had this tab open a few days ago and I just clicked on it, it reloaded and immediately brought a smile to my face, hearing

Fist Pink Floyd show 1977 , 21st row Madison square garden.I saw the wall two nights, and other Pink Floyd and they always d wish u we’re here and dark side, except the wall show of course. I’m grateful to have had this chance and I won’t forget to say syd is in my opinion one of the greatest magic songwriting music composer . I love Pink Floyd live shows they are magic to say the least

Happy to come across this, DSOTM is my fav music for chilling and relaxing since 1975, when I first discovered it. I am surprised that I haven't seen this or something similar before. Disappointing that it cuts off after the band starts "Money," their first commercial hit. As Manuol commented, not a true capture of the band playing live either. But still enjoyable! I'm a die-hard Pink Floyd fan. DSOTM will always be the best in my mind. ✌️ Even ordered a T-shirt 👕 this morning, almost that shade of green! DSOTM 4-ever, hell yeah!

Saw them three times around this time, Rainbow, Brighton Dome, and Earls Court. Things I remember; the band was very unassuming no real spotlights just play the music, a bootleg of the Rainbow concert was on sale in Brighton a few weeks later, the light show was phenomenal for its time like three football stadium lighting gantries on pneumatic lifts, first time I saw fireworks at a concert, no extra musicians jut the four and I think the Blackbirds backing, Earls Court had surround sound and we were sat in front of one of the speaker banks - never want to hear Malcolm Muggeridge that loud ever again. Always an event but always the music first.

I saw Pink Floyd during their Dark Side of the Moon Tour on June 16, 1973 at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, New Jersey. Unbelievably, the ticket price was a whopping $5 USD. I wonder what PF would draw today, considering those of much lesser talent are getting several hundred to several thousands per ticket. What a time to be alive in the 70's...best music ever.
