This was actually my fave song when I was at this concert in 1994. The sound quality and the way it filled that hall was breathtaking. I don’t think I’ve ever heard or seen a better live performance from any band before or since. What added to the enjoyment of this concert was the fact there wasn’t 100’s of mobile bloody phones stuck in the air trying to record it. Cuz their wasn’t any. The good ole days.

I wanted to go to this concert so badly but I was very pregnant and unable to travel. It was a joy to watch the following year on TV, on the sofa with my baby daughter. I cried my eyes out, phenomenal concert. I can only imagine how magical it was in be there in person. This song still makes me very emotional

Now you’re one of music history’s very own „I was there, kids“ people. I’m only 38, the mother of my son was born a day after the second of these two recorded shows. She was introduced to all this by me. And brain damage/eclipse from this show is my favourite song (and version of it) of all time for many reasons, I’m also autistic, so it speaks to me. The calm sad anxious view on society, you know? I feel that, and then it lights up but keeps the little chance for more bad things to come. Best song(s) ever for me. No other song ever calms me, cheers me up and directly tells me literally that I’m okay this way, everything is in tune. But keep an eye open. Lol, I even have a carefully crafted, sometimes adjusted playlist of my fifty favourite pieces of music and it is always actually the top spot. 😂 Much love from Hamburg in Germany ❤

This song has a special place for myself and one friend in particular. His family had a cabin we used to parry at in the years following The Divisuon Bell. We would always be the last two up and we would crank this song to closeout the party almost every time we were there. We only see each other every few years now, but when we do, we see each other and the first thing we say was "the grass was greener".

"The endless River" in this song is also the title of the last Album The endless Ŕiver... I'm 66 years old and I have all Albums (Vinyl) from Pink Floyd, The Division Bell on CD, saw them live 2 times.... My older sister, my older brother, my younger brother; we all listen to Pink Floyd since 1970. My sister died at the age of 50 in 2007, my brother 2 years later also with 50. At the burial did play Pink Floyd in the mourning hall. Listening to Pink Floyd is "Family", Childhood memorys, Sadness and a deep connectedness with the Universe.

This album, The Division Bell", silenced a lot of the critics who said this Pink Floyd could never write, and produce, an album as good a what the band did before. I love this album. And, this song is just so good. David, Richard, and Nick are so in tune with each other. When I watch the whole DVD of this concert it brings a smile and a tear to my eye to see how David & Richard would look at each other so often enjoying the moment. I really enjoy watching your enthusiasm about The Floyd. Reminds me, of me, from back in my young days when Dark Side came out.

I agree completely with your comment. These 3 amazingly talented musicians performed together as if it was their destiny, which I know sounds corny, but is true. Would they have been this way with any other formation? They also stayed close, not falling out with each other, and their friendships within the 3, is evident in them being so in tune with each other. I love the happy glances at each other too, it shows the sheer joy and happiness in the music, and it is so sad that Rick is no longer here to continue this for us (I’m being very selfish here). I cannot imagine my life without their music, also beginning with DSOTM as a young teenager. A musical blessing to my life.

I downloaded High Hopes studio version a long time ago and I've listened to it loads of times but somehow hearing and seeing it live with the video in the background and all the ambience etc, gosh, that was very emotional. I wasn't really expecting to feel like this so it's a bit mindblowing. It's such a beautiful song and so good to hear it live. Many thanks for your reaction, guys. Another favourite great piece of music from Pink Floyd is Marooned, which is a lovely instrumental also from the album Division Bell. Other favourite songs I've downloaded from this album are Coming Back to Life (you've reacted to the live Pulse version), Lost for Words and Take it Back. Another fabulous instrumental is Terminal Frost from A Momentary Lapse of Reason album, it's so beautiful too. All the best, guys, take care.

Finally! It's been ages since you guys did Pink Floyd. Yes, this is the definitive version of the song, Gilmour's solo is out of this world. That said, the live versions of the 2006 tour (Remember That Night and Live In Gdansk) are magnificent as well, and absolutely worth reacting to.
