I vividly remember listening to this performance in my bedroom once, and was drifting off while listening. So during Embryo, in the liminal space between sleep and consciousness, when the sounds of the children came over my speakers, my brain told me that it was the children playing at a Day School just up the street. Except it was ten o'clock at night, so that wasn't happening...

I was around 10 years old when I heard 'Careful with that ax Eugene'...the ominous build up to the sudden attack scared the crap out of me...

I swear, that song is an exploration of dread from start to finish!

"Interstellar overdrive" was my first real (listening good, on my own) Pink Floyd. Barrett's guitar arrhythmic weaving felt just so (aptly) out of this world. Echo is also spectacular, like a preview / alt version of what would later become Dark Side. Love all eras for different reasons but mostly up to Waters' departure. Nice topic and video man, this is a worthy cause, hope we get plenty more offering from LiminalSpacestalksMusic.

Thank you so much! I love Echoes as well, truly the first step in a new direction for the band!

I'm not near my playlist atm, but I'm certain that Green Is the Colour is in this set. I've had the bootleg since the early to mid 80s. Not a standout, but it's part of this performance.
