When my husband passed away..... this song was playing on the radio when I arrived at the funeral home to sign his cremation paperwork. I sat n cried , knowing this was a sign from him. When I went to pick up his ashes at the funeral home..... this song was playing on the radio when I turned the car key on. I sat n cried Every time I seem to need him.....this song plays on the radio for me. This song makes me feel my husband is near n still with me.

I'm 67 years young and grew up in the age of great bands like Pink Floyd. Of all the rock and heavy metal bands that I have always enjoyed, this is my personal favorite group. My brother and I were both huge fans. In 2014 my brother passed away and now when I hear this particular Floyd song, I think of him and cry like a baby. Such a great song and now it's a tough one to listen to. I usually get out the Division Bell album and listen to the song Coming Back To Life.

@TS-wh4ey Жыл бұрын
@@FacelessSoulessHumanity I lost my kid brother on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014. Seattle pulled off one of the greatest underdog victories defeating Peyton Manning and the Broncos. My brother died late that evening just before midnight. He wasn't just my brother, he was my best friend. So many things we planned together for our retirements that ended before it got started. Hard to move on, and I struggled for several years, but time heals and I learned that life is like a football game divided into 4 quarters, 20 to 25 years each. I'm in the 4th quarter now and if I get past 80, I'll consider that Overtime. Life is kind of like a marathon race and we're all trying to get to the finish line. That's what our kid brothers would want for us is to reach the finish line. I'll never forget those moments enjoying a good smoke and listening to them great rock bands especially Pink Floyd back in the 70s. We are fortunate to have grown up through such a special time and the memories are priceless. And the only thing we can do now is keep on rockin' and keep that music alive. Cheers to you my friend and keep on rockin' and reaching for the finish line. 👍❤️🎸

I can really feel you.. My son transitioned nearly 7 years ago.. He played this song so often for us. In the first year or 3 after his death I would play my music on shuffle, more than 2500 songs.. One of his recordings would play EVERY SINGLE time. I knew it was his way of letting me know he was just a breath, just a heartbeat away.. There is no death, no separation. All these years later my connection to him and super sensitivity to the other reasons had helped me to have a very different outlook on "death".. They are with us always.. Much love and strongs to you and all who grieve for a loved one ❤

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from hell Blue skies from pain Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade Your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl Year after year Running over the same old ground And how we found The same old fears Wish you were here
