I use the parts method a lot. That and they eyeball method. And I often mix things until they are the consistency of peanut butter/mayonnaise/toothpaste.

Ty for the tutorial. I tried buying some texture paste at Michael's and all they had was the really expensive brand. Now I just need to get the glue. Have loads of baby powder. TFS.

Nice tutorial!! It would be cool if we could find those texture balls in the garden center for less than Prima's price. That's hard to come by. 😞 They look so fun to do though!!! Thanks for all you do to share videos with us!! I appreciate it greatly and know the work that goes into it!!!

Hi Stacy! That soil additive is perilite or the metallicy looking stuff is vermiculite. Glass beads I use for sandblasting are great in texture paste too... so is frit, although bigger glass frit can be sharp, so might stick to the smaller stuff! ;) Lovin' it! (You can also use other goodies for clear paste!

Yes, Ive used glass bits in tex paste as well. its really nice in the 3d gloss gel which dries clear!

I have a little black poodle that looks just like yours and she is a girl named Roxy..I have an idea for a custome for them for Halloween.. They could be bats... Dollar tree has purple bat wings on a head band..If you had a black harness u could glue the head band around the back strap of he harness....They would look darling walking around at Halloween as little bats on a leash..much love, Stephanie

lol tigger has a bat costume but i had to pack it away, he has like 15 costumes lol years ago I bought a bunch on clearance after halloween lol.

Parts is way easier for me, I'm really astonished that people dont know what it means as its the simplest way to put recipes together if the components can be measured in that way.

Could you make impressions in the texture paste and well I was thinking of like the designs in Leather crafts on a book cover and then using distress inks to color and age the faux leather cover or would the moisture from the texture paste damage the cover of the book?
@PinkPoodleCrafts7 жыл бұрын
Im not sure, I dont think it would hurt it, i would try and and see what happens :)

Can you use this on canvas, and will it hold up without cracking or lifting? You added water to the mixture, so not sure if it will eventually affect the paste in some way -- cracking, etc. Thanks you.

I’ve made home made texture paste with this recipe although I used chalk powder from a uk art supplies shop, & mine hasn’t flaked or cracked, It’s on & stayed on. Experiment it’s fun & you can colour it etc too. 👍🏼

Hi Stacy thank you for this video. Can you use plain cornstarch to make the paste? When adding large texture items, like rock can the paste be thinned with water so that it can be applied easier?
@PinkPoodleCrafts7 жыл бұрын
Im not sure if cornstarch would work... I would try it in a small amount and see. And yes you can thin the paste with water... just dont thin it too much if you expect it to hold its shape :)

Pink Poodle Crafts thank you for your reply. The reason I asked is baby powder smell makes me sneeze! Since I’ve ask the question I have seen where corn starch is used to make embossing paste so I’m not sure but what it turned out to be would be embossing paste. I don’t know if that is a bad thing or not.

:- ) = I'm here. Loving what you do. Your videos are definitely unique...that's 'cause you're unique. May the Lord God Almighty continue to bless you. II Corinthians 3:17...Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. The Donald got quite a bit of criticism during his campaign for saying "One-One Corinthians..." He knew better; said it incorrectly for whatever reasons he had for saying it incorrectly. Since getting 4 years of him, we, now, know he, too, is unique.
