I'd honestly love to see lore-accurate angels in media more often in general. I LOVED this movie as a kid. There was a thing with baseball movies around this time. _The Sandlot_ came out the year before _Angels in the Outfield_ and I was obsessed with that movie too. Same with _Rookie of the Year_ and _A League of Their Own_ . My friends and I played baseball all the time even though none of us were very sporty or athletic, probably because of these movies.

I know this might sound silly, but when I was a boy I honestly thought the lady who ran the foster home was the same one from Home Alone 2. Kevin gave her a pep talk and she was so inspired that she traveled across the country, cleaned herself up, and decided to inspire children the way Kevin once inspired her when she was homeless by opening up a foster home. Home Alone 2 and Angels In The Outfield were telling one overarching story, and nobody could tell me otherwise lol

This was everything. Ah the nostalgia. I used to watch this all the time with my brother. It is so quintessential 90s. Also haven’t seen it since childhood. It’s so interesting to think how many movies had a plot about orphan kids in the 90s. Such a weird, ridiculous premise and those special effects were scary but I will never not love this movie. I can't remember this movie being so depressing. I was crying listening about the kid sleeping in the car and the other one who's dad is cutting ties with his son. I guess I didn't understand as a kid.

I saw the trailer for this but never saw it either. I'll have to check it out. The only part that made me cry was JP saying he was gonna get a daddy.

I too only knew of this movie bc it's trailer played before one of my favorite movies (on the vhs tape ofc) I forget the movie, maybe it was Babe lol but I remember him saying "God... /if there IS a God../" 😭 just burned into my brain

Thanks so much for doing this movie! Makes me cry every time (I'm adopted AND my adopted mom passed from lung cancer in 3 months from diagnosis.... so yeah this movie kills me) Would you consider doing some more 90s live action kids movies that are randomly dark? Beethoven? Free Willy? Big Green (another sports movie w Ranch Wilder?). No one has really done these at all and they were HUGE parts of my childhood!

I loved this movie. It's touching and has a strong message in it. And just the power to believe in yourself and in something bigger than yourself. I believe it. I love this strong inspiring movie.

Great reaction guys! Christopher Loyd is always fun in a kids movie. Do you guys remember the 90s animated movie THE PAGE MASTER? My 35 year old son watched that movie over and over!
