The one thing I did let him purchase for me was a GIANT Citrine at a recent gem show. (it weigh's more than our Dachshund!) He loves to buy me jewelry, but no store bought gemstone jewelry could ever compare to that beautiful beacon of happiness!🌟🌟🌟 We took our kids because they love gem and crystal shows, but I never expected to come home with such a treasure. I swear it called to me from across the auditorium, as it was hidden behind quite a few other things, but once it touched it -I knew. I've never cared much for the color yellow or that stone in particular (I am 100% an amethyst and rose quartz kind of girl. )But there it was, in the last 5 minutes of the show, and once I cradled it in my arms I told my husband -"This...THIS is what I want for Christmas!"😁

LOL I was totally thinking, "would a plant pot be an ok gift suggestion?" And you totally brought it up! Ha! I love that, and YES do a crazy plant person ultimate gift suggestion video. Thinking about a gift I received that I wished was something else: sweaters. I've received some very odd sweater selections from family, that were totally not my aesthetic, plus I was allergic to them. An alternative would have been some waterproof gloves, I always wish for gloves, but have never received them as a gift.

DianeCee0 In my family there is a tradition. My mom and granny always give themselves a pack of coffee. It comes from when we lived in GDR (East Germany) with a wall around us. Good coffee was rare and if some one got coffee from West Germany for Christmas it was really a thing. My husband grew up the other side of the wall and he still wonders every Christmas why we give coffee as a gift.

Cyber week? I must be really out of the loop...never heard of it.I got a faux fur blanket for my son and his g'friend this year and the dreaded 'gift sets' for her girls. Wow..who can afford a Vitamix blender? You're outdoing Santa! My fam and I exchange really cheap...like $5-$10 gifts.I gave blankets last year. I still have one ...pretty good so far. I've been wanting (and asking for) cutting board for years. I'll prolly get a 'gift set' and I'm allergic to all those toxic fumes. I always like men.'s black sport 'socks (why are women's socks only 4'' long?)..the men's are something I'll def' use. I love the clear crystal obelisks....they're $80 apiece here, tho.

I'm a huge gift-giver type of person. My favorite thing to do is keep a mental list of things they like: favorite color, favorite candy/chocolate, their interests like if they like stationary... etc. Then I look for things that fit their likes. Like if they like cats and coffee, get them a cat coffee mug. If they like blue and wear earrings, get blue earrings! Or just useful stuff they could use but in colors they would like, like nice notepads or pens!

I’m vegan and I say why not if it’s fake? The point is no animal suffered so that I could have my faux leather/skin so I’m happy. We still want the aesthetic and some of the benefits like warmth, water resistance etc without harming animals.
