I'm just getting into Nebulous and found this video super helpful (and chill, love the no narration w/ music vibe). I'm looking forward to giving this fleet comp a try. My one request would be to leave your commentary flashes of text up longer! They are useful tips but being new I find I have to read them 2 or 3 times to fully take it in, so I found myself pausing frequently to go back and re-read.

Really interesting to watch that complete dismemberment from the other side (450 bulks here). Your cap pressure pulled me out of position at the end so I got caught between your whole team rather than just taking a more defensive posture.

I wouldn't undersell the power projection your fleet had because I really didn't/couldn't get close to E or C until you got taken out. Basically area denial for most of the match for a light fleet, up until the end. You played well imo.

I like that area of tumbleweed for area denial. Denies a lot of good movement opportunities and can actively contest 3 capture points

At 15:45 talking about the hope of your shells shredding the armour enough to punch though, I would really not count on it. The shredding radius of kinetic rounds is absolutely tiny. Without missile or energy weapons, shredding is almost a non-factor in my experience. And sure once you've been firing at the target for 10 minutes you will start doing damage with HE, but you could just start using AP from the beginning and deal damage immediately rather than waiting. I dunno, maybe it's worth it in cases where you need HE's higher damage to crack component damage thresholds.

I have experimented in testing range actually, Ocellos seem to start taking damage 120 HE from the back quite quickly. The volume of fire I had was imo enough to get a drive immobilization in a few salvos but neither AP nor HE would grey it because of dt. Thruster do start to red/grey out in a few salvos.

Hmmmmm I stand corrected then, very interesting result. I guess the time it takes to shred enough area is much lower than I would have thought looking at the shred radius stats
