I just noticed this re-watching, but that handshaking Barney was doing after shooting a zombie gave a subtle hint that that go-lucky attitude Baney has all the time is just front to keep others upbeat. He's obviously frightened out of his mind, but he doesn't want to show it to keep others from losing hope. Amazing detail Pinwheel!

I like that you portray gordon as just a normal guy thrust into the situation in this series. He doesn't move like a navy seal or a commando, he makes grounded mistakes, he's adjusting to the chaos. I look forward to him gradually growing into a creative and ruthless saboteur over the course of his journey through black mesa, like he does in the game. Actually fleshing out interactions between him and the scientists is great by the way, really adds depth to the game. This is canon in my head now.

I didn't know I wanted an adaptation like this until I saw it. I just crushed this and the previous two installments, I checked out the pateron (I start a new job tomorrow after prolonged time without work) and from what I saw there I recognize the time investment something like this demands. This is an amazing project. I still have the big box the game came with at retail. I love this. All of this. I want more of it and, although I understand the demands of life can get in the way of personal projects, I will send you money sir when that first check arrives. This is fantastic. Engaging. Surely, in the game, we are so concerned about all the fire, explosions and Xen creatures, puting aside that as soon as we get a gun, Freeman turns into a badass killing machine guided by our keyboard and mouse, at that point we forget he is a scientist, part of the less trained group in all that sci-fi madness. Ah, you uploaded again! And so soon after the last! Fuckin love you and your work thus far dude. So let's talk a moment! I heavily approve of Barney being the first guard to escort you, and I also agree with the pace you've set things. Though admittedly we'll have twice as many of these as there are "Freeman's Mind" episodes by the time we get to the end..! But that's not a bad thing and I'm sure you've planned this fairly thoroughly. I really like what you're doing here. I also get the impression that your Gordon is genuinely mute, instead of just chatty- because anybody going through this shit would have a fair bit to say, would at least scream a few times or make some kind of audible vocalization. If not, then you're just being true to the character and that's totally okay. If so, that's real damn interesting. I really like this either way!

Everything seems and looks really good, Pinwheel. One minor irk I have is the running animation used for both; the animation implies faster movement then they actually are going at. Same with the walking at some moments. There's also the fact that everything seems disproportionate; the crowbar/Glock to Freeman, the Headcrabs to Freeman, the Zombies, it's as if everything is twice Freeman's size. Otherwise? Good.
@Neopolirants7 жыл бұрын
AlyMar1994 In the original HL1 things also had a serious scaling problem, especially with the doors
@AlyMar19947 жыл бұрын
Corporal Xander I wouldn't say the doors were disproportionate, they seemed the right size for the NPCs. In any case, I get what you mean but it's definitely noticeable here with Freeman. It's probably because the Black Mesa: Source content was made with a specific size in mind, while this Freeman model was probably general purpose/use.

This is so awesome. The time alone it takes to create this must be insane. Good job man.

There are a few animations that are a bit Werid looking, but other than that, this is awesome! 8/10

*WOW* *THIS* *IS* *AMAZING* *WORK* Pinwheel Arts! If some Hollywood movie studio ever makes a big-budget Half-Life film series, I don't think it would be anywhere near as good as your SFM series. I can clearly tell that this is the work of a true Half-Life fan who absolutely loves the games. I've never watched a Source Film Maker movie that actually reeled me in, grabbed my attention, and kept me glued to the screen eagerly following the characters and action like this has; all the more impressive because I know it was hand-animated on a PC. Do keep up your fantastic work!
