I’m 24 years old and get these probably once every 7-8 months, sometimes less. Think I had them first at 5-6 years of age, never told anyone, way too embarrassing. I tried absolutely everything, changing linen sheets, boxers , wearing gloves, washing hands up to 8-9 times a day with extremely hot water, showering twice a day, cutting nails, I’ve even went as far moving out from my brothers house because I got that paranoid he’d infect me. Yet they still ALWAYS came back, the eggs are impossible to deter, it’s only takes one. The only proper way to fend these things off is the medication, I’m in Ireland and take Vermox (Mebendazole) once during infection (which takes 3-4 days to kill them off anyway so it’s still a horrible few nights) and another 2 weeks later because it doesn’t eliminate eggs and I don’t take the risk. If you’re living with someone make them take the medication too regardless or you’re just wasting your time. Hope this helped, they are hell on earth and I understand the pain you’re going through. When I was a young teen the itch got so bad I started pulling them out of me with my fingers and crushing them with pure rage, the next day I couldn’t even sit on my ass it was that sore and ripped. They would drive you into a state of insanity if they were there constantly.

I suffered with these things for over 1 1/2 years. I tried all the pinworm treatments from the drug story, all the banana flavored stuff. I even tried double dose of the stuff. It seemed like it knocked them back a bit but they always came back strong. Then I found the real cure. I was camping and I had some Lucas oil stabilizer, the real thick oil additive that you find at the auto parts stores. (I had been applying coconut oil every time I felt them crawling, but with no real success) The Lucas did it. Only two applications to my rectum, several days apart. It worked. One week later, no more crawling on my rectum. Oil products are not made to be applied to skin. They will irritate the skin, but this thick, very sticky oil treatment killed the worms, and worked real quick. I applied it twice within a few days and a week later they were no more. Praise God.

For weeks,theres been this minor itch , which has became more frequent. In the shower, I found 2 little white rice almost as I was cleaning myself, I thought maybe it was wet lint or something. But it made me keep notice each time. Feels like a flee crawling, ..... This explains why I have been waking up at night, restless, itching. evening is always worse.
@BrendaRockwell-u9w19 күн бұрын
That white rice worm ..could be tape worms. They break off in sesame seed looking segments. The whole colony can be several feet long in your intestines! You get the eggs(that look like find powder around the anus) from ..get this "a carrier" if not by touching the powder ...the carrier is fleas..my vet told me my cats were being reinfected thru grooming and accidentally eating fleas. True story. Now we can get eggs on our hands via petting our animals or by investing a flea orally as we sleep. Get to a doctor for nasty ones like tape worms...took my cousins over a year to get rid of their girls tape worms!!!

I did it for four days only in the mornings and yesterday it gave me a horrible stomach ache and I had diarrhea, but now the day after, it's night and I don't feel anything, I think it worked for me. I think I had a mild infection not very serious, I did not go to the doctor but im free of pinworms now!!!!! Horrible experience 0/10 I wouldn't recommend

Hi! I have this problem and today had a consultation with gynecologist doctor. And suggested me to take 1.albendazole for 3 days 2.use econate g cream for 10 days 3.doxycycline What do you think about this. Is it ok??
@vibrantdream85242 жыл бұрын
Why would you take doxycycline for pinworms? This is a PARASITIC INFECTION, not a bacteria. You need an antihelminthic, not an antibiotic. Albendazole is similar to mebendazole. I don't know why you were recommended to take if for 3 days; you should take it two weeks apart because in two weeks its common to have a recurrence from the hatchlings of the adult worms killed the first time. It usually only takes these two doses. Anyway, Please quit promoting the overuse and unnecessary prescription of antibiotics where they are not needed. This is a serious issue. It causes antibiotic resistant bacteria.
@bluebird77452 жыл бұрын
@@vibrantdream8524 thanks for your explaination.. Uhmm..i Don't know why doctors write antibiotic for any kind of problem.. (im just talking about my Place not all worldwide doctors)...sometimes we cannot recognise which on is antibiotic causes we don’t know every generic... @jeri37962 жыл бұрын
i think it's better to take medication even if it only itch for a few minutes.. cause when I had experienced it for the first night, I immediately saw an adult worm trying to crawl out of my anus. I then take mebendazole (other name is antiox) the next morning. After that I only felt very mild itching but it was said to be normal cause the eggs are not directly affected by those medicines. So, I also wash my anus every morning and wash my hands almost every hour to ensure that the eggs will be killed

The worms won’t die and there will be more and more. Make your whole family get it, otherwise they might get it aswell. Take a shower everyday atleast 2 time, wash your hands and body. I told my mum and dad and they said it’s because I don’t listen and I’m on my phone all the time!!! Then they just gave me paracetamol I don’t know what to do!!! I feel like ending it all. These worms are making my life a living hell. Edit: omg my thread worms have gone! If you have these DO NOT skip school. Going school actually helps it. Another thing that helps is them neck pillows that you warm up I wear shorts and sit on it and it calms the worms down a lot. Do not scratch as it gets them in your nails and then in your food, the eggs going into your stomach. I wouldn’t wish these worms on my worst enemies. Don’t be worried when you first get them. They go after 2 days and as soon as you feel an itch make sure to tell an adult so you can cure it before it gets extreme. They can live up to 6 weeks and create over 10,000 eggs that is if you don’t care about your hygiene. No matter how clean your clothes are after you’ve wore them still put them in the wash and have two showers/ soothing baths a day! I hope you get over it.

bsbs1986 I’m nearly 40 and me and my family all caught worms. Not sure what kind but they look like spaghetti all different sizes too. Some were as thick as spaghetti and some were thread like worms. It’s so gross. Only reason I saw them in my poo is when I started taking chilli powder in capsules. It’s the best natural thing you can take to know if you have worms. I honestly think it kills them if you take enough of it. I pooped out so many and they were all dead. I never saw them in my poop until I started killing them off with chilli 😱 so anyone can have them and not know just by looking at ya poo.

life is beautiful omg are you joking? I hope the treatment works for me and my family then and they don’t keep coming back 😱
@NMW805 жыл бұрын
life is beautiful maybe take some chilli powder capsules daily for like as long as you can handle it and then it clears them out of your body naturally. They hate the chilli powder and you will see them in ya poo when you take it Cos they die if ya have heaps.

I feel a moving object in my waist. The pain is so severe. Could it be worm? Cos I've not dewormed myself for a year now.

@@derar123meds (mebendazole. 1 dose per two weeks) and proper hygiene helped getting rid of them in less than 3 weeks!

hey Abraham, does starving them help? Also how do you deal with the pain
@ethanblair9813 жыл бұрын
No, starving them means starving yourself, and as their eggs can survive for 2 weeks, unless you can go without food for 2 weeks or more, it won't work. The only way is to blast them with medication, they cannot absorb sugar and die. The pain is not to be worried about, but using coconut oil and rubbing it around where it itches helps a lot.

I have had these for years and my gp doesn’t believe me. I have taken the medicine repeatedly for months, I am a total clean freak but still I have them and it is horrendous. I don’t know what else to do.

Just use Lucas Oil Stabilizer on your toilet paper when you do your final wipe, but only do this about twice a week. It will irritate the skin, but it will kill the worms. The bottle makes a lot of good claims but says nothing about pin worms, yet it works. It sticks to everything. I don't know if we can get Mebendazole in the US.

My kid has had pin worms and I’m finding it impossible to get rid of them from my carpets and such. We cut nails, dewormed family plus dogs, launder sheets and bedding daily in hot water including pillows, and vacuum EVERYTHING. I sanitize things but nothing is effective for killing them. I don’t know how to break the cycle. Anyone else having issues???
