Man, these double dins haven't changed much it seems, maybe I'm wrong. It seems like they just release a new model every year with minimal changes. One thing that bugs me is how they have a sluggish feel/look to them. It may just be the animations but it's 2018, come on, they should be buttery smooth by now.

I totally agree. I bought a Pioneer double din unit 4 years ago this isn't that much better. Scrolling through media on my USB connected iPod is sluggish to the point that I use my iPhone via Bluetooth instead... but the iPod sounds so much better.

They do it on purpose so you buy higher end models, for faster software, more ports, and features which costs them 30$ max to add all of them. But they charge you 300$ more. Smooth animation has been out since 1980. I mean do I have to say more? Who uses 480p display in 2019? All top brand HU. There you go. Who uses HD display in 2019? All cheap andriod HU. Make sense?

Hello, I would like to install in my Toyota Hilux 2009 model dual cab 4 JL Audio speakers model C5-650X in the four doors with speaker baffles. I plan to use a Pioneer AVH-600EX to drive the 4 door speakers (no amplifier) and to use a JL Audio powered sub ACP108LG-W3v3: Single 8W3v3 MicroSub+™ with DCD™ Amplifier, Ported, 0.40 Ω behind the back seat. Do you think that this is a good rig up and should sound good? Thanks...

I bought the AVH-601ex and the bluetooth has a 4 second delay whenever i skip a song. I updated the stereo hoping this will solve the problem and its still the same. What could be the problem?

Just installed the AVH601EX in a 2009 Shelby GT 500. Awesome unit far better custom sound than the Shaker 500. IT has AppRadio and not CarPlay. How can I get the most out of AppRadio?

rollinlong hi I have a question. I eant to install on a 2009 dodge. Can I use my existing wiring harness ? Or do i have to re wire to the amp and speakers ?

Trish D Trish The install in my 2009 was a journey. After buying the unit I watched over 40 KZbin videos on installation. I then bought a Metra adapter wiring kit from Best Buy color code it connects to the Pioneer radio. Then I soldered connections and plugged it into the factory harness. Turned on the power and the unit did not work. Further research told me I needed a RAP( retained accessory power) interface because power to the radio had to be turned on by the cars computer. So I bought a XSVI harness that fit my Ford from Amazon. Re soldered connections to the harness and controller. Hit the power and unit did not start. I was so mad I could have said damn. More research told me to turn the ignition power on for 30 seconds then off and on again the hold the power button on the radio down for one minute. Finally success. It connected to my OE amplified speakers and I feel my sound has improved since I can equalize. Use Bluetooth and backup camera. Talk to professionals before you attempt to do it yourself. Not as easy as an 8 track I installed in a Torino Cobra in 1970.

It seemed like it held up pretty well with the lights I had on it, but Pioneer does not state it is Anti-Glare so I don't think it is

In the Bluetooth settings you can erase the memory of connected phones, also forget the radio in the phone's Bluetooth settings settings

Nope. Apple Carplay isn't something you can add to any radio. Pioneer's NEX line of stereos are their Apple Carplay stereos. The best and only way to watch KZbin on this stereo is to mirror your phone to the stereo with its RCA AV inputs. Sounds probably like a short circuit somewhere. Did you install it yourself? I'd check all the wire/speaker connections. If not, go to the installer who did it

@@Qualitymobilevideo thank you. Yes I had it installed at Miami Power Wheels on 40th Street Bird Road I went back and I told him about the problem and I told me to return Thursday 4 amp bypass or I may have to install an amplifier there's not enough current going into the stereo head

AppMode sucks, no real reason to use it. Skip it entirely, or save up for the Apple CarPlay unit.
