+KomodoEntertainment I don't have the 1 so can't make a video on the differences. The upgrades are Serato Flip, DVS, colored pads, and better jog wheels.
@gunchief08118 жыл бұрын
About 4 upgrades total and they are the upgrades that the club deejays and pro deejays asked Pioneer to give.. So the sx2 is worth the extra$ if ur gonna use mike's. And if ur gonna nees to xolor code ur loops..the R.G.B. pads make a difference the jog wheels are smoother more precise... The serarp flip is a cool fearure that ddxsx one. Doesn't come with. Just four new overall upgrades but four really really meaningful Ones. #1 smoother more precise jog wheels #2 R.G.B. pads.. (the older model only has blue lights. #3 better mike connection and sound quality #4 serato flip I got mine on a holiday sale from guitar center and they had a. Coupon for 15% off on any purchase over 500$ so i used that and i got the unit for a about 825$ after sale and coupons etc. I got it in 2015. When it was retailing for about 935$.. So i basically saved about 100$ off total price which allowed me to buy a nice pioneer soft case... For about 80$

@@stevekorte6135 Donny, also, you'll see a lot of an expensive controller on Ebay because a lot of new DJ's get into the hobby/craft and buy a big time controller right off the bat. Then they are too lazy to put in the work it takes to become a good DJ and end up selling the equipment. It takes a long time to build up the muscle memory and skills it takes to DJ effectively. Most people aren't willing to wait that long. Getting good at anything requires time and pressure. By pressure I meant pushing, meaning "doing it". That's the only way. You can't expect to buy a DJ controller and be as good at scratching as Skratch Bastid or DJ Jazzy Jeff. Those guys have logged thousands of hours on the turntables/controllers. There's your explanation!

Thank you very much for this video. I'm going to upgrade from my Traktor S2 to the Pioneer DDJ-SX2; placing an order later this week. I have two questions I hope you can help with? What is beat gridding like on this device? For example, if I have a need to beat grid an 80's track so that I can sync it in mixes, is it difficult to do on this device? My second question is, how good is the sound card in the device? For my Traktor S2, I had to buy a mixer because the sound card couldn't handle the kind of sound I needed for mobile parties. So, do I need to use an external mixer for parties or is the sound card decent enough to handle my JBL EON 15's? Thanks again for an excellent video. Consider me a new sub to your channel.

I was told that I didn't have the view count to have an opinion. I've got 15 years between vinyl and MP3 DJ'ing, and shows on bills with the likes of Victor Niglio, Caked Up!, Sound Remedy, and others... My last show was in Upstate NY, sold 3,317 tickets, boasted 4 stages, and 65 artists over three days. I'm not a piece of shit, and you won't unjustifiably hurt my reputation in a public forum because you are childish and unable to take criticism. I also orient on playing shows and selling tickets more than recording shit in my bedroom studio and using keywords/adwords to give the outward appearance of popularity or relevance. I don't give a shit about my KZbin Channel, because it has never really hindered or benefitted the fact that I get by with a live presence. In FACT, I only really use it to upload fresstyle productions and show people the original material I have written without any studio-production background. I don't have the time to fuck off in a bedroom shooting videos. I do WORK Sir. I eat, support a 14 year old daughter, and support a grandmother strictly off of my decks. You put the name of one of the most popular DJ controllers on the market and "Tutorial" in the title, of course you're clickbait. But the fact of the matter is, this video sucks. And anyone who knows anything about Audio/DJ'ing in general, knows you were lazy and had mismatched beats and distracting audio going while you were talking. I put this nicely originally, but you guy, are an unprofessional butthurt prick who can't take constructive criticism. You called me a Chuck E. Cheese DJ in public for me suggesting you lower or mute the audio when you speak? And use tracks that were relevant and not annoyingly played to DEATH at the date of upload. That is childish, unprofessional, sandbox kiddie, fuckery. AND I had sub'd to your page despite this video sucking, because you had other quality offerings. I am a LOT bigger-person and more professional in my conduct, because I would never attack someone for making suggestions. I'm going to prove that by not unsubscribing, because despite your acting like a butthurt juvenile fuckboy, I was backing your play and will continue to do so. Good Day.
@MichaelHolmes7778 жыл бұрын
Sorry if you took umbrage to the Chuck E thing. I thought it was kind of witty. You've obviously built a nice business and I respect that. Yes the djing in the video could be better. I did play the same 2 tracks for 10 minutes. The point I'd make is that DJing and video production are two separate fields. I'm around average at both. There's camera stuff that could have been better too even though I'm using a $1,000 tripod and $1,000 slider. There's better dj's and there's better video producers out there, but it's a limited subset that can do both. That's why I say if you want to do a better job, learn the video production thing and go for it. I think part of my success in product reviews is that I represent an average user. The pioneer product videos are overproduced. I loved watching Braindead's sx performance, but I'm never gonna get to that level of complexity and neither will the average user. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXXPemuebcp1hdE

Okay +Michael Holmes. Truce, then ;) ? Maybe you could collaborate with some guys who are full-performer, but lack the time, knowledge, equipment, or even just the ability to produce videos? I think we should all band together, personally. The industry is getting flooded with people who have horrible attitudes, no actual education or value in the formation and history of this culture, and think that a few slick photos/videos and buying your way onto lists is the way to have staying power. I do not put you in this shameful category, at all. I am glad that you responded this way. I really did get a bit salty about the Chuck E. Cheese quip, but I'll take your word that it WAS, in fact a quip, and laugh with you about it. I've watched quite a few of your videos, and I have to say, you're onto something, and should keep it up. I have a new SX2 arriving Thursday, as I stubbornly waited this long to upgrade from the SX1. I'm excited, as I'm sidelined until the spring on bookings (except local smaller stuff). Who knows, maybe with more time on my hands, I can put a little effort into YT? Cheers, and thanks! I've learned there are professionals in the dj business and there's also skeevy people that think they can raise themselves up by putting you down or doing stuff like stealing gigs you give them.
