As a life long technics/vinyl dj; I've got rid with the mind of going digital.......... I love the look & price point of this compared to buying a 900nxs set up. Question is - as a house/hardcore/jungle dj will this suit my needs?

Does anyone know if this is normal: Pioneer DDJ-SZ Mic 1&2 volume knobs and FX beats knob issue Cause a 2000 euro piece of gear should, especialy by pioneer, should not be like what you see in my vid, out of the box. Would mean a lot if you could let me know if you have the same issues or know of them. And if you don't have these issues then please let me know.

Pioneer released a notice about the platter responsive to touch issue. They are offering to fit the units that are affected (for free). See this link for info: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/DJ/Important+Notice+Regarding+DDJ-SZ Here was their message: April 08, 2014 Dear Valued Pioneer DJ Customer: Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. has received reports from users of the Pioneer DDJ-SZ Controller that the jog platter can be insufficiently responsive to touch. To those who reported this issue, we appreciate your taking the time to provide us with this important information. If you purchased a DDJ-SZ and are experiencing this issue, please contact Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 1-800-421-1404, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Eastern time (excluding holidays), and transfer to the Warranty & Service Department to arrange for the repair or replacement of your product.

I will stick with my Technics SL-1210M5G's, I had that same platter problem with the CDJ1000MKII's back in the day! Love their mixers, Hate Their Decks!

Does all the same features work on Tracktor as they do if you were using serato?

No, and jog wheel lag . you can look up mappings to see what they got working .

Yo me and 3 of my mates all have the same controller and have no problem with the platters or touch sencertiverty and all work perfectly fine for scratching and whatever and have never let us down yet , this seem to be a dodgy batch problem and you where unlucky if you got one .

I was going to buy this then saw the DDJ SX2. I am not struggling to justify the difference in price between the two. (pretty much £1,000)

John Cue yea bullshit _ they offer no fix and blame it on static conditions or poor grounding . Figured they would have used the same platter technology they used for their cdj's -Nope-

Sorry guys, but that platter issue is a huge black eye for this thing. Even if it can be fixed, I'd never get one because of it.

It's easy to believe the NS7ii is heavier because the NS7ii is two turntables bolted to a biece of metal!!! why wouldnt be heavier loll
