I've had the SZ for 2 days now. Coming from a 20 year vinyl & CDJ background... ... ... I'm really impressed with it; awesome piece of kit! It's extremely well built - everything feels reassuring & professional. I would highly recommend this as a cheaper alternative to a full 900/2000 set up.

these units are now 1500.00 i have a sx but have been craving a upgrade. im not ready for the cdj"s nore do i think i have a need for that level of play...but after this excellent review i will be buying this unit...thanks guys

You can disable the neadle search enable it when pausing the plattern.

DjRavine you can disable the needle search so it only works when the music isn't playing.

You can disable Needle Search, in the Controller Settings ;) and now with the newest Update of Serato and the Controller, you can even disable it through Serato DJ

Now I've got to decide Upgrade my SX to ..... 1. The SZ Or 2. Xdj 1000's x 2 With a djm 750 (that's as far as I could stretch with my cash lol) Second option would cost me £800 more! Love the sx but really after something that will give me that club standard feel but without the club standard price! Loved the SZ when I've used it before

DDJ SZ + Decent Laptop = $4000 (mobile DJ, but if you laptop freezes, lags or crashes, GG) CDJs + DJMs = $4000+ (not suitable for mobile DJs) Or just get the XDJ RX.

Better late than never. Just like a guy not to read the directions. You can deactivate needle search during play back. You have to activate firm ware update mode. push slip mode, ta daa no more looking like a complete butt hole during a set.
